Supernatural - End of Season One
Holy crap! Those of you who were watching from the beginning must have hated the wait for season two to start. The finale was a..m..a..z..i..n..g! But I'm getting ahead of myself.
DEAD MAN'S BLOOD - ooh! What a nasty family fight. Jared and Jensen have great chemistry with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I love anything with vampires and these vampires had truly scary looking teeth/fangs. Such a sweet scene with Sam and John. JDM was so good in this episode. I love it when Sam looks pissed and all pouty.
SALVATION - The road sign saying you're leaving Salvation also said, "Are you ready for judgement day? JW 2:17" Does the JW 2:17 somehow have special significance? It's written as though citing a Bible verse, but I don't think it is. I wondered if the JW was for John Winchester and the 2:17 was meant as a date. The boys must get very tired of filming outdoor scenes in the rain and traipsing about in mud. But that's Vancouver weather for you. This was a really good episode.
DEVIL'S TRAP - This was a terrifically tense finale and what a cliff hanger. I never expected Meg to turn out to be a real girl who was possessed. I thought she really was a demon. Maybe not "THE" demon, but still a demon. I don't quite understand how Meg, as played by Rachel Miner, can come back since the human Meg is legitimately dead...isn't she? And how perceptive of Dean to realize John was possessed. That came as a real shock to me. And OMG! his eyes! Was the person driving the big truck that ran the Winchesters off the road a demon? I'm assuming it was and it looked like the friend who told the Winchesters that Meg was a real girl, but possessed. I hope Jared was reading the Latin and didn't have to memorize it. O_O The makeup people really had their work cut out for them in this episode. I loved the wonderful family interaction in all three of these episodes. It was a wonderful final episode and I don't have to wait for season two...I already have the DVDs. Yay!
Question: What is the pendant Dean wears all the time? And what about the ring he wears on his right ring finger?
I'm having house guests for a couple of days, but I'll start on season two this weekend. I noticed that the special features include Jared's screen test and another blooper reel. I may watch the special features first.
Thanks to all of you who have gone on this journey with me and been so helpful with comments and explanations. It's been like my own personal discussion group. In all my time at LJ, I've never received more comments than I have for these Supernatural entries. There sure are a lot of you and you're a great crowd to hang with. *Mwahh*
