Binge Watching
There is definitely something to be said in praise of binge watching. I just finished watching all 10 episodes in season two of Penny Dreadful and I loved it. I watched season one on Netflix DVDs because I wasn't a Showtime subscriber when it first aired. I don't think Eva Green has ever received an Emmy, Golden Globe or Oscar, but she certainly deserved an Emmy for her work in this TV show. I've seen her in many roles, but she was just plain brilliant in Penny Dreadful. Actually, the entire cast made this a show not to be missed. Does anyone know if there will be a season three or was this the end? Seemed to me that they wrapped up the story and didn't leave the door open for a third season. I think a few of you have watched this show, no?
Next up is season one of Supernatural, as I mentioned in a previous post. I also want to binge watch Showtime's The Affair (one season) and Masters of Sex (two seasons.) Has anyone seen them? I don't have Netflix streaming, but I do have Dish Anywhere, HBO Go, Amazon Prime and Hulu. I wait for the Netflix original programming (House of Cards) to be released on DVD.
It's so nice to not have to wait a week for the next episode.
