Parenting and Christmas

So, there is a particular squeak that newborns seem to make. Julia made it, and each of the babies who shared a room with us did, and several others as well. And it seems to be specific to newborns - Julia had stopped making it before we left the hospital. It is close to indescribable, and heart-meltingly cute.

I realized last night that 2010 years ago, give or take a few years for monastic typos and a few months for ease of pagan conversion, God was making those exact squeaks.
