For shisaigas:
Big and Small

Nikaido has always liked dogs. Werewolves aren't all that different, he thinks.

"Hey!" he says when Yokoo pads into the room. He doesn't know why he changed or when, but it doesn't matter. He reaches out a hand and the wolf wanders over, shoving his head into Nikaido's lap as Nikaido scratches roughly behind his ears.

"Hey," he says again. "How're you doing?"

Yokoo snuffles softly and Nikaido smiles. He leans down and hugs him, breathing in the smell of wolf.

With his head tilted against the wolf's fur, Nikaido catches movement out of the corner of his eye. He sits up to take a proper look, just as the cockroach skitters a few centimeters along the wall.

"AAAUUGHH!" Nikaido leaps from the couch and ducks behind Yokoo's formidable size, clinging tight enough to make the wolf whine.

"Kill it, kill it," he begs, and then suddenly has an armful of shaking human.

Yokoo can barely breathe, he's laughing so hard. "You're so ridiculous," he tells him.

Nikaido glares as best he can with his head buried in Yokoo's neck. "I hate you so much."

A Bird In The Hand

It's just to try something new, Senga insists, and Nikaido has never been able to say no.

They start out in a field near Nikaido's house. There are usually various birds around, although he has no idea what kind. Apparently they're going to find out.

"How about this one?" Senga says, pointing at a picture in his guide book. "Doesn't it look like this?"

Nikaido eyes the book, looks up at the elegant white bird stalking through the field, then consults the book again. "I guess? But it also looks like this," he points to another picture, "and this, and this..."

Senga frowns. "Well, yeah... How are we supposed to know the difference?"

"Well, it was your idea," Nikaido points out. "Doesn't it say in the book? There have to be some small things. Beak color? Foot color? Height?"

"It-" Senga drops the book as the bird they're watching lets out a trumpeting squack and Nikaido nearly dives into his arms.

Senga laughs as Nikaido glares at him. "I thought you liked birds?"

"I do," Nikaido insists. "It just startled me, is all. Look at it's ceres or something," he says to distract him.

Senga blinks. "Look at the what?"

For mousapelli:
To A New Beat

"No," Tamamori repeats, "like this." He repositions Miyata's hands over the drum set. "Try it again."

It's a little very distracting to have Tamamori pressed up behind him like that, long legs stretched out on either side of Miyata's and hands resting on his shoulders, but Miyata does his best to focus. He's only got a few more days before he goes on stage with this, and he wants to do his best.

"Better," Tamamori says after a few minutes, sounding reluctant.

"You don't sound happy," Miyata points out. "Isn't it a good thing if I'm doing better? It means you're a good teacher."

"Maybe it just means you don't suck quite as much as I expected," Tamamori shoots back, but his hand tightens on Miyata's waist, and Miyata knows that it's because once he's got it down, he won't need Tamamori's help anymore.

"Don't worry, Tama-chan," he says softly. "I'll always let you teach me anything you'd like."

"Stupid," Tamamori replies, but he leans against Miyata's back and Miyata can feel the press of Tamamori's nose against his head. "Mmm, you smell good."

Miyata smiles because Tamamori can't see it and says nothing. Let Tamamori ask.

Tamamori does.

"Hey, Miyacchi... take me home?"

For mhtbleach:
Evening The Score

"All right, witch-boy," Yokoo says, shoving Nikaido up against the wall. "That's enough."

"Wizard," Nikaido protests, but with his wand in his robe pocket and his arms trapped at his sides, there's little he can do to protect himself from the werewolf. He's not advanced enough for wandless magic.

"You think you're so funny," Yokoo growls, and then his teeth are on Nikaido's neck. It's not enough pressure to break the skin, but it's enough to make Nikaido's knees go weak, Yokoo's grip on his arms the only thing keeping him on his feet.

"Watta..."

His plan to surprise Yokoo certainly worked, his broom propped against the balcony railing and the door securely shut after he'd magicked it open, but he should have had his wand at the ready when he finally revealed himself. Yokoo had pounced in defense.

"My place, my rules," Yokoo tells him, and then Nikaido's robe is pulled from his body, wand with it, and he finds himself sprawled across Yokoo's bed. "Speak now, or forever hold your peace."

Nikaido pulls him down for a kiss.

For mbdancer8o8:
Subtly Is For Losers

"You do realize that Dragonball is for kids," Fujigaya tells Senga.

"So?" Senga wants to know.

"So your fusion dance isn't very romantic or anything."

Senga looks confused.

"It's silly," Fujigaya insists. "You need something better if you want to win Nikaido over."

And so Senga wracks his brain and comes up with idea after idea, and anything he tries just earns him confusion and annoyance from Nikaido.

In a fit of frustration, Senga throws up his arms in the middle of their dressing room. "Can't we just do the fusion dance?" he asks Nikaido. "Taipi said tha-" Nikaido interrupts him before he can finish.

"You want to do the fusion dance with me? Really?" Nikaido's eyes are shining and he looks amazed. "Really?"

Fujigaya turns away in disgust.

For flailinginlove:
Movie Madness

"Somebody explain again why Nikaido is Yuki," Kitayama says, eying Nikaido from across the room.

"I can do it!" Nikaido insists, studying his hair in the mirror. "I wonder if I get to go blond?"

Yokoo glances up from his script and frowns slightly. "Would that really be a good idea?"

"He's dumb enough already," Tamamori whispers loudly, and ducks when Nikaido throws a bottle of hair gel in his direction.

"Look who's talking!"

"Ladies, ladies," Fujigaya says, waving his hands. "Quit it." He looks doubtfully over Senga's shoulder at Ren's highlighted parts on the script. "Besides, they haven't announced who is playing which part yet," he points out. He smirks at Kitayama. "They can always switch the parts once they figure out you can't act."

Kitayama sits up from the couch. "I'll kill you," he promises.

Miyata just holds his drum sticks up high in a big X.

For talisa_ahn:
Not So Innocent

"I never see you anymore!" Kusumoto pouts after Matori disentangles himself from Kusumoto's hug.

Without work to force him into the city, Matori hasn't made it to Osaka much recently. "I'm sorry," he says, ruffling Kusumoto's hair. "I haven't had much reason to come down here lately."

Kusumoto ducks away, frowning. "I'm not reason enough?"

Matori freezes, realizing what he's implied. "Ah, you are, you are," he insists. "I just..."

He's just been busy. Busy with friends, busy with life. Hasn't thought about Kusumoto all that much, and suddenly feels guilty.

"You just what?" Kusumoto asks quietly.

Matori doesn't have anything to say.

Kusumoto's look hardens, but it's not an angry look - the glint in his eyes is sly, daring. He steps closer until Matori is forced to lean back to look at him, then leans down to whisper in Matori's ear.

"Come visit me. I'll make it worth your while."

If Matori hadn't been thinking about him before, he certainly will be now.

For kiayro:
Night Rider

Kitayama is always tired - everyone knows that. But very few people know why.

It's a tiring life, but Kitayama never gives up. The reds of his costume are the same as the reds of his sash, a bright splash of color against the black of his clothes. The katanas he wields on stage similar to the rapier hanging at his hip. Hypnotic dancing echoes the way he moves through the night, swift and silent.

His enemies never hear him coming, and never see him go.

Justice is dispensed quickly, mercilessly, with nothing but a slashed "K" to mark his passing.

For yararanger:
An Unsurprising Surprise

"Why are you nervous?" Nikaido asks. "It's not like you don't know them."

She's been friends with Senga for years and Senga's been to her house dozens and dozens of times. Nikaido's parents have known that she likes girls for a few years, so while they don't know that she's dating Senga, it's not exactly going to be a surprise. Far from it, she thinks. But Senga still looks worried.

"It's different," Senga insists. She's dressed in her best, a floral-patterned skirt hitting just above her knees, a modestly-cut blouse, and low heels. Nikaido had laughed when she first saw her, so conservative compared to her usual get-ups, but she still thinks her girlfriend looks pretty.

"It's not different," Nikaido insists, taking her hand as they walk up to Nikaido's house. "They like you. That's not going to change."

"If you say so," Senga says, and Nikaido doesn't let her pull her hand away, even if it means she has to fumble for her keys with one hand.

"I'm home!" she calls as they toe off their shoes in the front hall. Her parents should be waiting.

She sees the understanding in her father's eyes the moment he rounds the corner and sees Senga.

"Ah, hello Senga-chan," he says, smiling knowingly.

"Hello, Nikaido-san," Senga replies, ducking her head shyly as Nikaido's mother shouts from the direction of the kitchen.

"Sen-chan?"

She appears a moment later, standing next to her husband as Nikaido tugs Senga up into the hallway to take her place beside her.

"Mom, Dad," Nikaido says, bowing formally in greeting to her own parents. "I'd like you to meet my girlfriend, Senga Kaoru."

Nikaido's parents smile. "Sen-chan," her mother says, nodding her greeting. "You've always been special to Takako."

Senga blushes. "She's always been special to me, too" she says, nearly whispering. Nikaido elbows her, laughing.

"Oi! Quit being so shy, geez."

Nikaido's father laughs, smiling wryly as he steps aside for them. "Come on in."

Nikaido drags Senga with her. "Now that we've got that out of the way, food? I'm starving!"

"Ready," her mother says, and leads the way.
