Haha I'm the opposite.. I LOVEEEE Baekyeol and it makes up about 90% of the fics I read. I don't really ship Krisyeol except as bros, but that was what the recipient wanted, and I'm such a baekyeol addict that I had to somehow slot baekhyun in there regardless. So... this happened, lmao. But I'm really glad you enjoyed the interaction between Baek and Yeol so much, because this was a bit of a gamble for me and it means that it worked. As much as it pained me to make Baekhyun a dead person, I don't think this plot could have worked out with anyone else in his place.
The broken spotlight at the end is open to interpretation. If you want to think it's Baekhyun giving Chanyeol a cue to begin his performance, then you can think that. I don't even know myself, to be honest, haha. My ideas kind of have a life of their own, so I let them do what they want.
