It's been a while...
Hello! I know I haven't posted much lately. I'm hoping to remedy that soon, but more about that in a sec. I have to thank maraudersaffair for my yummy snowflake cookie. Thanks! By the way, did I miss something during my LJ absence? My inbox is blowing up from all the snowflake cookies being delivered! Everyone on my flist has been blessed with yummy snowflaky cookie goodness. Massive scale sweet tooth?
Speaking of sweet teeth, I made some very tasty Chocolate Pecan Rum Balls Sunday. I've been eating some here and there all day. (I know it's a weekday, so before y'all start thinking that I've been consuming rum balls while teaching my second graders all day, I didn't go to work today. The principal gave everyone a day off for Christmas, and today was mine. Yay!) Anyway, I've decided that I'm going to make a batch next week and hand them out to some of my co-workers on the last day before the holidays.
I actually was able to get a little writing done today! This is a momentous event, because I very rarely have time to do it these days. I'm hoping that I'll be able to (finally) finish the 17th chapter of my novel-length fic before the end of the year.
My fat cat, Baby, has been placed on a diet (he weighs a little over 20 lbs.). He's not a happy camper. I guess he's been foraging for food, because he has learned how to open the refrigerator door. We come home and the fridge is wide open. So now there's a chair blocking the door.
I want to get back into posting regularly (and talk about something other than my job). So I'm going to do the 30 Day Meme that's going around.
