Been reading "The Paleo Solution: The Original Human Diet" (by Robb Wolf) all week. I haven't even gotten to the actual "diet" (what to and not to eat) and I'm already down nearly 3 lbs (191 to 188.2).
Things I've eliminated:
Milk
Cheese
Cereal
Bread
Rice
Sweets (candy, cookies, ice cream & etc)
Things I've cut back on:
Soda
Pasta
Potatoes
Things I've upped:
Water
Meat (ground beef, jerky, bacon, steak, & chicken mostly)
Eggs
Seeds (sunflower)
Nuts (almonds & walnuts)
Olive Oil
Avocado
Veg (salad, carrots, cauliflower, green beans, broccoli, cabbage)
Fruit (bananas & apples)
Sleep
I feel full/satisfied most of the time (not at all deprived) and slightly more alert and less headachy.
