I have always liked the stories of ghosties, ghoulies, and things that go bump in the night. Non-fiction mysteries are even better.
One of the best known unsolved mysteries in the US took place in Fall River, Mass. Lizzie Borden was suspected of killing her step-mother and father, but was found innocent of the charges. It is now suspected that a (possibly jilted) lover did the deed.
