Winter is coming, but I'm already looking forward to next spring. Sounds goofy, I suppose. However, I can't remember finding so much joy in something as simple as opening the back door in years! ZOMG ... there were stars out there!! At some point between 7:30 and 10 PM, the view of
Canis Minor from my patio is spectacular!
I managed to get all but one thing done on my list that I had planned for Wednesday. When we were coming back from Wal-mart, the light was off in the sign for Goodwill, so I missed the turn off into their parking lot.
I still have my scrapbook box to look through and sort, but other than that and the laundry that needs to put away in there, it's done. I figure that box is a several hours job. However, considering my cluttering packratting tendencies, two garbage bags of clothes that no longer fit and a bag of about two dozen books for donation and about four bags of trash cleared out of there is a big step forward! Mr. Pessimist, of course, grumbled at my moment of triumph and said, "You'll just find other things to put in there."
I did a few minor repairs on clothes that I wanted to keep. The real fun is waiting. I have several sweaters that have small holes in them. Much to my annoyance one of them was purchased in the last couple of months in preparation for the cooler weather. My best guess is that they got caught in my dresser drawers in some manner and tugged. But, as I said, the fun is waiting. I have a bunch of beads (as previously noted in other posts) and am going to try to come up with some sort of design to try to hide tiny holes. A butterfly is fairly easy to make.
The only thing I don't fit in that's not being donated is a black suit. I'm sending that to Liz.
I'm still reading
Dragonfly in Amber, but at the rate I'm going, I should be done by Christmas. And I'm also reading In
Praise of the Crone by Dorothy Morrison.
My weekend project is that box. Maybe the beading, I dunno. Shopping for Friday. Woot!
