Friday morning, the father-in-law called. Kevin answered. I must have heard him say, "Yes, I'm home, I don't leave for work for another hour," at least a half dozen times. He said he got the impression that the FIL wanted to talk to me, but never asked. He said something about Christmas presents being on the way. Now, I feel silly because they told us not to send presents last year and the only thing I'll be sending to them is the pictures from Liz's wedding. Ah well. Must think of something.
I should be doing something productive like finishing my Christmas cards. However, I have the house to myself and am enjoying the peace and quiet. All I hear is the clacking of keys, the whir of the computer fan and the sighing of the dog. He's not overly please with me. I had to wash his rear after he got sick. Enough said on that.
I just remembered that I have English Muffins to toast! Woot! Much better for me than the cookie I snacked on earlier.
Supposed to go see
The Golden Compass this weekend. Current audio book is
The Subtle Knife.
It's funny how people that only see part of a picture miss out on important details that might have saved them problems. However, I can't force people to read my written thoughts and that's about it in a nutshell. I guess I'm just tired of pot and kettle syndrome. It's funny, no, ironic, how that goes because one side or the other is trying to make the other look or feel stupid.
I keep coming back to the glass houses cliche. I mean really, people, including me, often don't see what they are doing until they get slapped with it.

The movie totally rocked! They deviated from the book some, but not so much that it fried the point of the story. And the best part of the flick ... ARMORED BEARS RULE!!
So, I'm relaxing with a ginger ale. Probably should have had tea, but it's warm out so this will do nicely. I have Red Sandalwood incense burning, it's light and lovely. Very relaxing.
I'm trying to come up with a reply for the last post in a story thread. I feel challenged by the most recent response, but, yes, that's a good thing!
Finished bagging and tagging on my LJ up to 14 Dec 2007.
Today, I need to finish writing cards and make sure the remaining boxes are ready to roll on Monday.
