So... first of all, allow me to share something that was passed along to me by Kevin. This is a web comic called Cheshire Crossing. If you have dial up, it might be a good idea to download it if you want to read. General premise is Dorothy Gale, Wendy Darling, and Alice Liddle are in an institution, together. Yup, you read that right. I should note that the first issue is work safe..
http://www.cheshirecrossing.net/ I receive notifications for birthdays in my e-mail via
Birthday Alarm. It's a great service and it's free. However, I digress.
In e-mail, I received a reminder notification for
Tx_db8r's birthday. While some people might have removed her from such a list, I just can't seem to do it. Then again, I think it's more a matter of don't want to than can't. Liz Shappee passed on a year ago in March. She was six months younger than my daughter, who is also named Liz. While she has family and loved ones to remember her; I, too, want to remember that for a brief time she touched my life. It's rather like that moment in the film, Highlander, where Heather asks Conner to remember her on her birthday and light a candle. Remembering is important.
It's been nearly two months since my Aunt Kay passed on and I have yet to write my cousins. I feel like a jerk, but what can I say other than... "I'm sorry she's gone, I'm glad she's no longer in pain, and I wish the last time I saw her was more pleasant?" I suppose that's a start.
There are a few writing projects I'd like to get back in gear, but with the holiday last week and taking my son to driving school every weekday for the next few weeks, things are bit boggled about. I'm hoping to get two posts for ME completed at some point tomorrow. It's Kevin's day off, so odds are we will do dinner before dropping Tom off for his class, do a few odd and end errands and then pick him up at 8:30.
It's 6:48 AM, must sleep despite the fact that my bruised toe is driving me nuts.

RP, last night, was hilarity on crack! I don't think Morgan will ever hear the word "wax" again and have a straight face. As Rhi put it, he's a naughty prude.
Stream of consciousness makes for some interesting writing. One minute I'm thinking... laundry, dishes and the next.. Ooooooooo shiny pretty, what is that? So here's a bit of stream of consciousness.
My big toe HURTS! Hoping the nail doesn't come off.
I'm doing laundry and have dishes waiting when that's done.
My son is being a royal PITA.
The guy building Kevin's game room is almost done putting the walls panels together.
My rosebushes are all growing nicely... except one, the Tiffany.

Creepy is when you are reading the obituary of recently deceased relative to learn that their grandchild, who you remember as being about seven years old when you were 12 or 13, died before them.
7:15 PM
Took Tom to class and came home. Return for him about 8:15
They are outside putting up the walls of the building. It's got a good solid floor that's for certain!
Once the building is up, Kevin plans to put bookcases and a cabinet for minis in there along with carpeting. He also wants curtains and carpeting/ I told him I'll get a trash can for outside so the youngins can deposit their trash in it as they leave. I think fire extinguisher and smoke detector would be good additions, just in case.
I think once the stuff is out of the garage it will be a good time to sort out my craft supplies and reassign things to new places. There will be a big cabinet left empty that my yarn can go in. That will clear up a lot of foot space. Only the candle and soap supplies are heat sensitive. I can then move some of the stuff I've been hording behind my desk out there in to the cabinet and have room for my chair near the window so I can have the natural light to stitch.
Need to get my eyes examined and make dental appointments for check ups, etc.
