What is up with that?

I have this urge to begin this entry with... "What's all this fuss about.... ::insert topic:: on television," ala Emily Litella.

Washington Foibles
So... what's all this fuss about a Congresswoman who thought she was above a security check in a government building because she failed to wear her proper identification tag? Helllllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... I feel sorry for the people that the woman represents that she is so foolish to think she is an exception to the rule regarding security procedures on federal property. Those that have lived or worked on military installations know exactly what I am talking about. Every one of those places has a big ass sign that says... "You are subject to inspection/search beyond this point." My guess is the same rule apply to the government buildings in DC.

Security procedures apply to everyone. Rank, race, gender matters not and that's what Ms. McKinney needs to get through her head. She failed to abide by standard operating procedure by not wearing the ID badge she was issued. Ever since 9-11, our lives have drastically changed. While she seems to feel that this act was because she is black, I this it's an excuse on her part because someone dared to remind her that despite her high position, she is not above the law as it were.  The right thing to do was stop and answer the guard's question and show some sort of ID. How hard is... "I'm Congresswoman McKinney and I forgot my ID badge today?" Duh... that would have made her momentarily forgetful, this, however, makes her look like someone using her race to cover her own senior moment. Frankly, I'd rather deal with someone that admits their own frailties like Ronald Reagan. He poked fun of his own memory issues.

She's bitching about being grabbed... where I live, someone that pulled that stunt could be shot, she's lucky the officer only grabbed her, he could have said, "Stop or I will shot" and done so.
