Good Thought for the Day
It's Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all celebrating!
Random Thought for Today
Friday, I was the recipient of a floral bouquet featuring pink roses for Mother's Day!
Cool Site for Today
The Encyclopedia of Arda - a tribute to and a celebration of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. The site is intended to evolve into an illustrated hypertext encyclopedia of Tolkien's realms and peoples. This lies a long way in the future, though; if the regions of Eä are vast beyond the thought of Elves and Men, so too are the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Quotes for Today
Movie Quote:
Frankenstein's Monster: Let me go!
Carl: Where are you going to go? I don't know if you've looked in the mirror lately, but you kind of stick out in a crowd.

Literary Quote
"But no living man am I! You look upon a woman. Éowyn am I, Éomund's daughter. You stand between me and my lord and kin. Begone, if you be not deathless! For living or dark undead, I will smite you, if you touch him."

Lyrics of the Day
"I have dreamed thee too long,
Never seen thee or touched thee, but known thee with all of my heart,
Half a prayer, half a song,
Thou has always been with me, though we have been always apart."

Bitch-o-gram of the Day
I'm tired...
Miscellanous Things
Nothing of note today.
We now return you to the regularly scheduled rambling LJ entry for the day......
If you like those old Hammer horror films, you'll like Van Helsing. If you haven't seen those old flicks, there are some thing you might not get. The CGI is awesome. Having been to Paris, I think they did an awesome job of recreating the place. Take note of the Eiffel Tower. The dude that played Benny in the Mummy and the dude that played Faramir in LOTR helped round out the cast.
Dinner was at Bennigan's, brought a big part of it home. Saturday night, we ate at Fudruckers.. I ended up sick and surviving on two hours sleep. I didn't want a repeat performance.
This week I have a few goals, some are silly ones, perhaps, but goals none the less:
I want to get the midmonth crop of bills paid.
Keep the house in order and attend to UHBS
Get Kevin's pants in for hemming.
Finish my audiobooks and switch them out.
Finish watching Lonesome Dove
Make the next payment on the baby swing
Clean that ##$$#@ suitcase
Tom to dentist
Dog to groomers
Finish the star and other parts on the baby quilt.
Update my LJ Memories list
Next Wal-mart trip... I need to look for a thunder or rain storm tape. I love the one I have from the library.
Mail the MECCG card for trade.
Hecker The Wrecker... a memory flash.. it was a nickname my cousin, Sharon, bestowed on her younger sister, Sandy.
Kevin bought a George Foreman grill.. I think I can deal with that. :)
