“This looks like a good spot,” Dean said, stopping under a tree. “Keep an eye out, will ya?”
Castiel scanned the orchard rows, expectantly. “What am I looking out for?”
“The farmer,” Dean said as he began plucking fruit from the boughs, “Or his dogs.”
“Wouldn’t it be easier to go to the grocery store?”
“Sure, but they taste better when you pick them yourself. Here,” he handed Castiel a peach. “Try one.”
The fruit’s skin was velvety, soft, and when he bit into the flesh, he closed his eyes in ecstasy. Sweet, juicy… perfect.
“Good, isn’t right?”
“It’s… heavenly.”
