“Hey, guys, what’s up?” Sam set take-out bags on the counter and took a seat next to his brother.
“Well, I’m teaching Cas how to play chess.”
Sam smiled, examining the board. “And how’s that going for you?”
“Not bad, Sammy, not bad at all.” Triumphantly, Dean removed Cas’ queen from the board.
“No, wait, Dean, I wouldn’t do that if I were-“
“Give me some credit, dude,” Dean said easily, “Master strategist here.”
Calmly, Castiel moved his knight, sat back and declared quietly, “Check and mate.”
“What, again?” Dean groaned in dismay, “No freaking way!”
“Apparently not,” Sam sighed.
