(no subject)
I'm a very light sleeper. Every little noise wakes me. I even woke up once because Cláudia was standing at the door to my bedroom and I felt *watched*. In the early hours of the morning, if I sense the cat isn't in bed with me, I wake up. And if I don't, she takes care of that for me by meowing in my ear, scratching things or eating moths on me. On a normal night, I wake up 3 to 4 times, walk around the flat to check if everything's in its place, scaring the fuck out of anyone who just happened to get hungry during the night. I'm not exactly conscious while I'm doing this, but I'm not sleepwalking either. I remember doing this stuff, it's just a little fuzzy while I'm doing it.
So sometimes I take a Xanax or two to dull my senses a bit, so I can sleep through the night. It doesn't always work, and those times I wake up to some odd stuff. I know I woke up around 5 am - hungry? I must have been, because there was a half eaten chocolate chip cookie next to the laptop. I don't usually get hungry during the night, but I guess those three bottles of white wine among the four of us didn't qualify as dinner. Though I do remember a bacon and feta sandwich at some point.
And then there was a youtube tab open with this pearl of weirdness and a little notice that said "This video has been added to your Favorites"
I don't know in what darkened corridor of the internet I found that in, but Doom and Phoenix doing the "I cut myself shaving" dance made my morning (and my night too, I remember laughing perhaps a bit too loud during the night).
And then there was this in newsarama this morning:
I was resigned to spending a year without seeing more than a panel of her lying on the floor, knocked out by Rogue in an alternate reality. There's just two things about Remender's X-Force that I don't like - too much hand-wringing (you're a kill squad, stop whining about it already) and no Domino.
I'm already pretty interested in the upcoming X-Men schism, but if Domino is in it in more than wallpaper capacity, then I'm so, so ready. I hope she sticks with Wolverine. She's way too much fun to be wasted on Cyclops.
