So after my last entry, I was indeed succeeding in spending time with my family and working out. I was going to the gym every other day, lifting weights and running there, and I even helped me brother lose 10 pounds.
But then came my first actual job: Meijer produce guy ("Food Clerk" being the official label). It's definitely a good experience working 40 hours a week for minimum wage...the job itself has allowed me to improve my responsibility, customer relation skills, prioritizing skills, etc. It also showed me the bleakest of futures...full time working for practically nothing.
My workout time and "family time" pretty much dipped to zero after I started work. It's been work-friends-sleep in a continuous cycle. I suppose I'm banking minimum wage, and with my 2-week camp job I just finished, I should have about $2,500-$3,000 to spend on luxuries during the school year. Not a lot, but about 3x more than what I've had in years past. It'll probably go towards food and drinks...
Somehow...despite my poor eating habits over the summer and NOT working out for the past month...I've lost 13 pounds since the school year ended. Weird...
This post had no real point...just a self-reflection on my earlier summer-goals...
