When MJ meets "Jolly Shandy"

Mar 06, 2010 18:08

I played for real for the first time with 3 colleagues, the wonderful game of: mahjong~ Thankful for the other 3 players to be so patient with me, a first time mj "kar". It wasn't until only pretty recently that I learned the basics of MJ. I wonder if there is those self-taught books entitled "Guide book of playing & then winning at mj table for dummies"..I would be one of the dummies... LOL

As I cannot remember all the rules of the game, it happened quite a number of times, that I didn't "pong" when I could have.. And as the night wore on, we became less noisy as we became more tired/drained/dulled... Mainly because its already close to 0230am.. hahaha... To think that 3 "kars" had wanted to go grab a bite at a 24/7 MCD at Fajar!.. Imagine eating MCD at 0250am.. omg!!~
I wonder if the "kars" will ever want to get me to play mj with them... maybe only if they "buay gao kar" then i become the super-sub! *chuckles*

My 'schedule' yesterday: MJ session started approx. 2000-2030, non-stop action of tile throwing, asking question if lidat can eat or not, or re-filling our glasses with homemade "jolly shany" etc..MJ session only ended approx. 0240am, reached home 0330am. Wake next day, ie today, at 0845am... What a way to end Friday...! hahaha...

Oh yes!... In case if you are a fan of the XO fishhead beehoon formerly located at Blk 43 Holland Drive, please be informed that they are now relocated at Blk 19A Dover Crescent. It is pretty near to where I stay and I can conveniently walked over to do a take away order for their Prawn Paste Chicken wings.. It is a very deliciously deep fried chicken wings marinated with (some considered it as "stinko") - prawn paste. The signature dish or chef recommendation would of course be the XO fishhead beehoon or the 炒三絲 (fishmeat beehoon with bean sprouts & ginger & spring onion) - the dry version of the XO fishhead/fish meat beeboon which is comparable to the soupy version.
