Make a difference; Be the different
Had a somewhat rather 狼狽& its truly embarrassing morning today.. I thought I would have like felt more "pai seh" then I actually have felt. I mean if its the "then" me.. i would be like so so... unbelievably 不好意思.
So what happened was there is insufficient stored valued in the card that I used for taking bus trips to & fro... so this morning after the irritating error buzzer sounded.. (this loud error buzzer is enough to make heads turn lor
..) I frantically dug for my purse.. any pouch that I have in my big bag for coins. Not to my suprise, I found no coins!
So I had to take out the smallest note (SGD $10) I had to see if any kind soul can change with me. I first asked this chinese woman nearest to me (whom had her ivory white earphones on..) in a like split second's time (didnt even think she actually made an effort to check her purse), she simply shoked her head and whispered a soft "no". The same went for the 2nd in line person.. My saviour came with the 3rd person I asked... she had said that she does not have change for $10 but she can let me have the bus fare! That's like literally giving me my bus fare... ! I hope to see this kind soul again tomorrow morning.. so that I can repay her kindness... ie return to her $1.40 cash.
