The process of romantic love in humans begins with falling in love, a subjective experience characterized by intense focused attention on a preferred individual, obsessive thinking about him or her, emotional dependency on and craving for emotional union with this beloved, euphoria and increased energy

I have the feeling that I don't feel any of this. I have always talked about 'universal love' rather than individual love. Surely, I love but maybe just in a very rational and non-commital way? Sometimes I have the feeling that I 'used up' all my romantic love early on, on the wrong people. But, honestly, I cannot remember being in love experiencing the sensation above, some of them maybe, in an effort to be normal? I have to get my head around this, sometime.

Do not be afraid to fall madly in love. Even if you end up like your girlfriends (which I doubt), at least you will have felt those beautiful and bizarre butterflies.

well, how the hell do I fall madly in love?
