Now that I actually live literally one block away from work and can walk home for lunch, I am trying to get away from frozen dinners. (SOOO sick of them.) Now I'm not about to make a start from scratch three course meal or anything large. Unless I have STEP BY STEP very detailed instructions, I'm most likely to be standing there by the stove going, "What the hell is the difference between beating and whisking?! And how do I blend?!" (I do know the difference, but I fail at whisking. Horribly so.)
But let me get back to the original topic if my post!
I am looking to eat healthy.
I am looking for fast and easy recipes. Or for weekends when I have more time, things that are tastey and fun to eat... that are still easy, not necessarily fast.
I know that health foods are normally the most expensive, but please keep in mind a budget. Don't tell me to go get something that's gonna cost $50 for one thing. O.o And noting that needs any 'special' tools to make it either. I am limited.
Guidelines: I am willing to try anything. From vegetarian substitutes like Soy and tofu, to fish, to strange odd things.
Also, even if you know something that is yummy that doesn't need to be 'made', let me know. Like Silk vanilla soy that Rami was lovely enough to show me. Very yummy. Hell, I'll even accept a nifty tip on how to make good Mac and cheese if you have it! ANYTHING.
Basically, I'm SICK of lean cuisine, smart ones, and other frozen nuke'em types. ugh.
Also, if you have TRIED these recipes, feel free to offer any tips that may be helpful to someone that can't even make an omelet without it being scrambled. T_T
