Post vibes '11
So happy birthday to my baby and happy six months to the both of us. As a surprise I took him to the vibes for his birthday. For those not familiar it's a four day festival centralized around charity, activism, and drug abuse. Lol. We had a blast. Kellie was there, but we didn't even meet up with her. It was really relaxing just the two of us. Even at our campsite we could hear the music, which was totally badass.
Elvis Costello was also bad ass. My favorite line, " I'm in Bridgeport, I'll kill you for sport." he really knows how to get a new haven girl's heart. New haven is dangerous, technically worse then bridgeport but it's equally beautiful and cultured unlike Bridgeport.
Janes addiction was alright but I was drunk and super stoned and wanted to go on the ferris wheel. It was perfect. I can't believe engins never been on one. Seriously turkey, get your act together.
Kung Fu was the best jam band even though they were on the smaller stage.
We spent most of the weekend roasting or fighting for shade. Friday was 105. We were laying in the shade and I was close to passing out while Engin kept pouring cold water on my face. Not a good feeling.
We left early Sunday morning. I can't sleep when I'm sweating. I woke up at seven am then started tickling his feet at 8 when I saw three different neighbors packing up. We were home by nine. Asleep by ten. Up at four and immediately at an all you can eat sushi restaurant. They lost money on us. A lot.
It was a good weekend though. <3
