So 2009, and a whole Decade, is just a few hours from waning into the past. It's gone by so quickly it's hard to remember all the things that have happened. I've just looked back at my last entry for 2008. I have actually achieved a few goals that I set myself, which just goes to show that goals DO work if you are determined. So:
*I have not bought any shoes for a whole year, with the exception of a pair of wellies [Nicki's birthday present in February] and another pair of wellies, but they are flourescent pink and were bought in November which was actually the 12 month landmark since I last bought shoes, so they don't count XD
* I have had a years worth of guitar lessons
* I have had a years worth of trampolining lessons, which gets me out of the house and meeting people who don't just exist in internetland.
Out of all the things on my wishlist I have achieved only one; a better job, and that only happened all of a sudden midway through December. Better late than never though I guess.
I stole this meme from
xtabula_rasax because originally I couldn't think of a way to review 2009:
Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2009 (not including memes of course). Post the first line/sentence of it in your journal, and that's your "Year in Review".
January - So I'm walking across the desolation that is Morrison's carpark in Ross and a man in his late fifties tells me I remind him of Carnaby Street, London because of what I'm wearing.
February - I'm not really in a very good mood today.
March - Okay, this post is because I neeed to write this all down, even if no-one reads it, and you may not want to.. ahah.
April - I've had what feels like a really long and difficult week.
May - Lalalalaaaaa lalaaaa.
June - Before I say anything at all, let me indulge in a mini rant/complain for a few sentences.
July - There is no breeze here. At all. *is stifled*
August - I'm trying to be ruthless with myself this week, having a bit of a sort out and an ebay session.
September - HELLO.
October - Stephen Gately. The world is a little less bright... :'(
November - This week at work we've had Mark with us training to be a store manager.
December - I have a new job. I start at Baileys on the 14th Dec.
I'm not quite sure what that tells you about my year but it was amusing anyway!!

For a year that has gone by faster than the previous one, I can't believe how many of those things I'd forgotten about!
I'm surprised I typed this with only the usual amount of typos, due to my injuring my middle finder on my left hand at work the other morning. I accidentally attacked myself with a parcel tape gun thingy. Anyway, I now have three shallow gouges just above a shorn in half fingernail :[ It may hamper guitar playing for some time to come...
I seem to have already been paid by Baileys, on Christmas Eve no less, and it seems to be a rediculous amount of money. I wasn't expecting anything until end of January/February. I think they may have miscalculated somewhere. Three weeks work does not compute to £700+ ... or if it does then WOOOOOOOOP!
Happy New Year Everybody! WELCOME 2010!
