Сегодня день был довольно нассыщенный. Я был в центре занятости для студентов, на юридической консультации в Русском клубе, на курсах английского и финского.
Today I have been at many courses and other activities. First I visited the university’s student recruiting centre, whose employee has given me many suggestions where to look for a job.
At 12.00 I went for a legal consultation at the Russian Club. Today they had a free consultation with a Finnish lawyer. I asked what I could do with the invoice I got from the shipping company, which delivered my personal effects from Helsinki. They stuffed the invoice with many items on which we have not agreed. As a result, the invoice is for 350 euros, not for about 180, as I expected. The lawyer said that my position is correct and I can get more help from the consumer protection organisation of Tampere.
Then I went to the course Introduction to Academic Writing. The course stated four weeks ago, but I joined it only today. It is not difficult, especially its language part. But I hope it will help me with essay writing. What I need to improve most are the abilities to generate and organise my ideas. I will have to review the course materials posted on Moodle (University’s intranet) and write a four-page essay on my own theme.
After that there was a course of Finnish. It was the last one in this period and on Friday there will be an exam. I think I will pass it well, but I need to prepare.
