In a statement about the assault on the building of the Khimki administration by unidentified youths (supposedly a group of antifascists), the leader of the movement for the defence of the Khimki forest Yevgeniya Chirikova says that the action of violence was caused by the officials' disregard of the movement for the defence of the forest and that she has always proposed to find peaceful solutions to the issue of road construction. UPD: the prosecutors office has stopped the clearing of the forest at the request of the Duma deputy Anton Belyakov until the proceedings on the legality of the works are finished.

UPD: Расчистка Химкинского леса приостановлена решением прокуратуры до окончания судебного разбирательства о правомерности вырубки для строительства автотрассы Москва - Петербург. Решение принято на основании запроса, поступившего от депутата Госдумы Антона Белякова. Несколькими часами ранее пресс-секретарь премьер-министра Дмитрий Песков заявил, что все решения о судьбе лесного массива "уже приняты".
