Work and seach for a room

Jun 17, 2006 18:47

I have been working since 23 May, and I think I'm doing well in my job. I translate user manuals and interfaces for non-destructive testing instruments. I don’t translate very fast yet, because I constantly search for terminology. Fortunately, I find quite a lot on the Russian site Multitran.ru. I also ask questions to other translators on Proz.com. I translate in FrameMaker and WinTrans, and I’m learning to use these programs as well.

I commute about four hours daily, and by the end of each week I feel quite tired. I still haven't found a room where I'd like to live. My expectations are probably too high: a furnished room large enough for my two desks and bookshelves; with a big bed and a telephone or cable connection; not in a basement; in a clean house; near a big park (whose paths are not asphalted); and max for 350 $ per month. Currently I pay 230 $ including the cable.
