So first day at new job today...induction was fine (funny enough one of the clients the company has had is the company my dad currently works for. Small world). I then got to listen in on someone's calls to get a feel for what I'd be doing. Then there was a half an hour office meeting before lunch time (which is held every Monday) where prizes and awards were given out for work done during the previous week (who knows maybe if I'm good enough I'll get some of those chocs/beer/wine lol). During lunch I made an effort to socialise with some of the other telemarketers who were quite friendly and welcoming. Then I was trained and got started on my calls. It's very simple but also very repetitive - all I have to do is ring up various companies and ask them if they use a credit reference agency. If they don't- thanks bye. If they do then I just need to ask them who the person in their company is in charge of managing credit, which agency they use and when it is due for renewal. Simples.
The company also has a girl's football team...which I may join (if I get me some trainers), why not! They seem to do quite a lot of other fun socials judging from the lil laser tag and go kart clippings on the notice boards. Might be interesting staying with them for a little while at least.
Right now I'm very tired and my head is aching a lot. Am craving a coffee though and need to get some work done on a project. Yawnn
