Politics is occasionally, so effecient, it's amazing. Witness this comment from a Macleans blog post musing about committee makeups in the next parliament:

Couple quick points:
1. Please Libs… no more name calling please. Let’s all try and be “Canadians” for a while.
2. If things were reversed during the last parliament the Tories would have been the fly in the ointment just like the Libs were.
3. Let’s get rid of the Senate and replace it with something that somehow reflects the popular vote. Don’t know how it can be done and what purpose it would serve yet but we have some brilliant people in this country… let’s figure it out and TRY to leave partisan politics out of it!
4. While we’re at it… let’s get a “provincial” party like the Bloc out of a “federal” election. Perhaps you must have a minimum number of candidates running in a minimum number of provinces and territories. We still have separtists (treasonists) help determine our government!!
5. Any leader should ONLY have a Canadian citizenship not dual like Dion. Could you imagine if Harper had a dual Canadian and U.S. citizenship?? I can hear the howling now!!
6. And last, probably the best time to fix some of these things that are clearly broken is during a minority gov’t.
Oh Canada!!!"
see, efficiency! No name calling allowed from the Liberals, the bloc are treasonists, change the senate without a reason, Dion's not a good enough Canadian because he had a dual citizenship that he gave up last year, and do it now. oh and a nationalistic gesture that is probably folksy.
