I'm Bringing Sexy Back?

I haven't chatted to quite a lot of you in a while, so I decided to post.
However, for better or worse, I am running out of things to say. I am back from my stint in Shropshire(as you know), did a week in Hampshire, and looks like next week will be Dorset, all places without the internet. On the plus side I was in Holborn buying a fountain pen (since I have a life and all) and I took a lot of snaps. Old Bailey included, I was going to go inside, nerd that I am, but I didn't want to go by myself, even though I've been to the Houses of Parliament, all alone, to watch PMQs live since I'm such a party animal and all. So anyway, to summarise, photo meme is almost done, any last requests can be posted here:

So, as I mentioned, I am running out of things to say, the country air isn't doing me the proverbial good, in fact I feel much, much less healthy and I do blame the countryside for that. The most interesting thing that has happened recently, apart from my spanking new fountain pen and bright yellow pea coat, was Glamour Magazine's 50 Sexiest Men Poll. I warn you, there were some apparitions in all the sexiness, some of the 'sexy men' in my opinion, are not for the weak stomached, so this is going to be under a cut.
Well, well... Surprise! Surprise! Robert Pattinson.
He polled #1.
Okay perhaps its not the biggest surprise in the world but I have to admit I was kind of hoping he wouldn't claim the top spot. Particularly as it had him pictured in all his beardy insolence. God. Why the beard? Though it did have JRM with his pornstache, maybe they have a thing at Glamour for unattractive facial hair?
Anyway! Robert Pattinson = an actor who plays people without any character! What's so sexy about that? I'm going to stop know, before this turns into an essay about the unavailingness of Twilight.
Johnny Depp!

Well, unlike the man who just beat him to the top spot. Johnny Depp doesn't nauseate me, which can only be a plus. In fact, I think I rather like him. But does he deserve the accolade of the no. 2 sexiest man on the planet? I would say probably not (sorry Johnny) and while I may be totally in love with Captain Jack Sparrow, Depp just does some less than sexy characters, such as Gilbert Grape, when Johnny was supposedly young and good looking....

No. Just no. Sorry about the small picture. I couldn't bare to look at him in full and address him as the world's 3 sexiest man. I simple couldn't. I mean - he isn't. He can't be!
Okay! So really, I didn't have anymore 'OMFG - he should not be on this list' moments for a while on the first page. I mean yes, David Beckham is getting a little old. So is George Clooney as a matter of fact and as much as I don't fancy either of them, I can appreciate why people find them attractive.
So. The next thing to grab my attention was Mr. Chace Crawford.
He polled at #8.
As disappointed as I am that he beat Ed Westwick, I'm not oober surprised he came up in such a poll. He is pretty fit. However what I didn't expect was my mother's reaction. When I showed her (and I wish I hadn't) she went INSANE over him, his boyish hair, his chiseled features, his strong brow, his beautiful eyes...all my mother's own words. I would never have believed that she (my mother) was capable of such a tender description. It was absolutely ridiculous/amazing/creepy.

Now, I appreciate he did once play the handsome Mr. Darcy. However, seriously man. He is 48 years old (not being ageist). But he does bare a strong resemblance to my father, except slightly tattier. And yes, I appreciate this isn't his best picture, not a particularly graceful or flattering facial expression and not the best outfit. But still more than a little like my dear old dad, and a lot of other people's dads, I imagine.
Colin Firth is the kind of actor you warm to because of his normality, he seems very grounded. I really like him for that. But he's just not sexy.
Oh and if that wasn't enough the name Colin just puts you off. Didn't he himself say it was the kind of name you'd give to a goldfish for a joke.
Now. The guys who came #11 and #12 in this poll, I had fortunately never heard of. However, they seemed rather to ewww to caption or discuss, so I get to move onto #13 - Ed Westwick. Yayness.
As promised. Edward Westwick (Ed is short for Edward, right?)
Anyways he came in at #13. And I hate to say it but I am actually dissapointed he didn't do better. A few weeks ago, before either of us had watched Gossip Girl, me and Natalie were discussing how unremarkable and gap-toothy we found him. However, having watched him in action for a while, he is actually pretty damn fierce, I like him. I like him a lot. And my mother didn't, which is a relief.
Also. Unknown to me, Ed is English! We are compatriots, yay! I always thought he was American, and so did Natalie, and when I saw an interview with him, and I discovered he wasn't, and I was like OMFG he's a Brit! I am now satisfied that he will be a wonderful Heathcliff, and he gets extra Brownie points for growing on me so monumentally :)
David Tennant at #14? Why?!
I've said this time and time again with James Frain, being a good actor doesn't make you sexy! He was a pretty spectacular Hamlet, however.
OMG No!!! Josh Holloway = #18 sexiest man! How?! He looks like something that got washed up on a beach.

Anyways, I'm sure JRM can vent his anger at his poor performance by punching some waiter or another.

I have missed out many of the people who came up on here who I thought were unworthy.
But I tell you this. Daniel Craig polled at #31. Fair enough. But the only reason he is attractive is because he plays Bond!
