So, with the exception of that last post which I made when I was drunk and don't even remember posting, it has been a while since I've posted. Well, here's the poop. Last thursday the 25th a friend of mine and myself went to Urbana to buy a motorcyle for me. I bought it, and he drove it home in the rain. It's a fire engine red 2002 suzuki katana 750. Absolutely gorgeous bike, I love it. Anyway, that night it stopped raining and I decided to take it to the gym. I was a little nervous riding it at first because it was my first time riding a 750, and it was still a little wet out. Anyway, I got to the gym no problem and went inside to meet a workout buddy of mine. While there I told him about the bike and everything so when were going to leave he wanted to see it. So I was walking with him towards the space where I parked it and lo and behold, its fuckin layin on its side in the spot. As I approached the bike I saw that the rear tail light cover was busted and the license plate holder (cheap aluminum) was mangled. These things could not have happened from it just falling over, someone must have hit it. So my buddy and I picked up the bike and stood it up and I started examining it for damage. Of course the plastic on the side (called faring) had multiple scratches, as did the left mirror, left front turn signal, and clutch level. I couldn't believe it, fucking 9 hours! I owned the damn thing for 9 fucking hours and someone fuckin hit it. Well, just as I was starting to get mad that whoever it was drove away, some guy walked by and was like, "Is that your bike?" (No dumbass I'm just examining it for fun). Anyway, he was the one who hit it and said he was sorry and actually went back into the gym to have the owner of a red sportbike paged. Long story short he backed into it because he was trying to get out of his spot across the aisle in a hurry. I got all his info and he said he was willing to pay for it. So friday, the very next day, I took it to the dealership here in town to get an estimate of the damage. They couldn't look at it that day because they were too busy so I just described the whole situation to the guy and told him the damage I found and he said that it would probably be between 800-1000$. So I have to take it in tomorrow to get the official estimate that I have to fax to state farm. More news on the bike later.....

I guess the good thing about this was that I still go to the gym, the bike is still drivable (as far as I can tell) and it will get fixed with no money outta my pocket.

Anyway, I went to the gym yesterday and got up 275 like 7 or 8 times, so I'm gonna try 300 next week, we'll see what happens. My workout buddy thinks I can do it, but I've never gotten up this high before so I'm a little weary. I should probably set some goal for myself that I can attain by May when my membership expires, because as of now its just a haphazard "how much can I do?" type of thing. Maybe I'll try for 350 by april.......
