(Cracked on reality TV shows like American Idol and Kitchen Nightmares)
"Seriously, what the fuck? Why are they all British (or pseudobritish)? It's not because we hate foreigners and like to paint them all as dicks -- the cursing Brits are the ones we're rooting for. It's like the United States entered into some bizarre S&M relationship with England. All because we saw one snide British man and said, "Yes, we want more of that, all of the time."

...all I could think of reading this was "Wait, I already read that fanfic. Actually, more than one fanfic based around that idea. I think that may in fact just describe a significant amount of American Hetalia fandom's reaction to England."
I kind of miss Hetalia, although forcing myself to take a break from it has been good for me, and really until I get another writing partner stories (Hetalia or otherwise) aren't going anywhere anyway, I'm terrible at writing on my own, I need someone else to bounce things off of. Also I'm pretty much incapable of writing sex scenes by myself, I need a girlfriend to write them with.
Oh well, the one-year hiatus I set myself won't be up until next January, and hopefully I'll have found someone by then. In the meantime, I'm having way too much fun with steampunk and cybergoth stuff. Also re-reading the Silmarillion, since my grad classes are anything but intellectually demanding.
