Summary: JUMP gets rebellious.... and Johhny's punishment for it is~?♥
There was a tensed silence as the ten boys lined up in front of the ~President's table~. They waited patiently for him to speak. To shout, even. They waited for him to scold them. Or to be angry at them. Or even to fire them there and then.
Them being ready of what the boss will say and them being ready to stop being idols are totally different things though. They still want to stand on that stage. They still need to hear their fans' shouting voices. They want to perform. They need to.
And so, it became a relief when Johnny, J&A's president and over-all 'boss', spoke calmly instead of shouting at them.
"Would you explain what is happening now, Yabu-kun?"
His voice was calm but sharp. It cut through the tense atmosphere and into the ten boys.
"We... W-we..." Yabu didn't know how to start. Everything was perfectly clear in his mind but he couldn't speak. Maybe he was afraid. He clenched his fist in anger at himself for not being able to speak up when he is needed by JUMP the most.
"I was the one who came up with the idea." Yamada stepped forward.
"No, Yama-chan. It was the two-" Chinen stepped forward.
"Three." Hikaru stepped forward too and corrected the boy, "The three, Chii. We came up with the idea together."
Johnny Kitagawa was silent. His face grave. He looked as if he wanted to say 'disappear from my sight, you ten.' or something like that.
Hikaru continued the explanation. "It wasn't fair for Chii and Yamada, they were being overworked. We just told them to take a break."
"You changed the plan of the concert. Didn't you think about the staff who would panic? And the fans too." the old man reasonably asked.
"No one noticed. Nothing looked wrong to the fans, and we told the staff before each performance when we were going to change the line-up." Hikaru answered.
"And even though they thought it was weird that Yuya was performing Asia no Yoru or that Daiki was performing Ookiku nare Boku, they found it amusing and the fans liked the performance!" Chinen added.
Yabu and Yuto stepped forward and both said that they helped in the plan too. They were equally responsible for it. The remaining members did the same. It was almost like a coup de etat.
Yabu said that Inoo had to rest and study for a while so they excluded him in the last part of the concert. Yuto said that Yamada was dizzy so he couldn't perform anyway. Daiki added that he and the others practiced Yamada's and Chinen's solos just in case something came up. They were thinking about their co-member and their fans too. They were just being practical. Keito bravely asked Johnny if there was something wrong with how they acted.
Johnny folded his hands in front of his face, thinking deeply. He stared at each of the determined faces in front of him.
"Please let Chinen and Yamada back into Hey!Say! JUMP! They're getting tired being in two groups and juggling their studies too..." Yuya bowed as he said this. The others followed suit.
The president frowned and stood up abruptly. "It's a chance when you're in a group!" he said. JUMP looked up in surprise. "You're... you're!"
They waited in baited breath for his verdict.
"You're ready!" He sighed and sat down, a small smile suddenly appearing.
"Huh?" Their eyes widened at his weird response.
"You're ready for the next step. The members of Hey! Say! JUMP are finally mature enough. You're fighting me for the sake of your members, and you're thinking ahead of how I think. Witty people are most welcome in this agency. You'll start working on your album immediately."
Ten pairs of eyes stared, blinked and stared some more at the president. Is he out of his mind? Album? Huh?!
"Don't waste your time staring. Go to Julie, she'll tell you what to do. There's a new schedule there too, one that will provide you enough time to rest." Johnny smiled like a proud father at the ten boys in the room.
They blinked one more time before it registered in their mind. "Ah!" And with that, they excitedly ran to their dressing room.
"YES! WE'RE GOING TO HAVE AN ALBUM!!!!!!!!"
Kame, who was passing by, smiled and sent the other members of KAT-TUN a message saying: "Johnny gave JUMP the 'ok' already. Get ready for a rival~ XD We should work harder!"

Warning: The author doesn't write Yamada pairings other than YamaJima. So this is an experiment XD. A-and I didn't really think about the translation that much, so bear with the stupidity of this. (BESTs are dorks so it's okay XD)
"Have you read the lyrics Yama-chan made? I think the title is 'Crimson'?" Inoo asked aloud, pertaining to everyone in the room: the members of BEST. HS7 was doing their photoshoot while BEST was allowed to take a break. So now, they're taking their time to talk about the compositions for the album.
Yabu rummaged through the papers in front of him. "Here." he took one out and passed it to the other guys. "It's a love song."
Yuya stared at it for a moment before saying: "Chii told me that Yama-chan did the same thing to compose this as he did."
"What?" they asked.
"Chii stared at his own picture and came up with Smile." he said with a smirk, a smirk that was saying that he knew something else about it but wouldn't tell them. The others simply raised their eyebrows and prodded him about Yamada, since they knew he won't tell anything more about Chinen's case. "Yamada stared at someone and came up with Crimson. Or so Chii said."
Hikaru's eyes had a naughty gleam to it. "Someone huh...? Interesting~ You don't know who?"
"Nah. I bet it's Nishiuchi Mariya-san though." Yuya answered and then imagined...

"Don't go! You know I love you..."
"B-but the agency said it's the safest thing to do, before the rumor gets worse."
"Mari-chan...." Yamada was almost crying. "Will you give me this one day then, to just be with you? I want to cherish this last day of us being classmates."
She smiled, a small happy smile that gave hope to the boy. "I'd be happy to." She kissed him on the lips and hugged him tightly. "I'm so glad I met you. I hope you won't ever forget me."
"I won't!" His eyes were sincere. "And please don't talk as if this will be our last day together?"
Her smile widened and she nodded enthusiastically.
They walked around the park, to their favorite ice cream shop and to a lot of places. And when it was almost night, they sat by the swings and stared at the sky. Yamada gazed at her lovingly.
"I'll make a song for you. And whenever you hear it, please think of how much I love you."

"Yama-chan is out of character, Yuya. He's not that romantic." Daiki pointed out.
"And they weren't dating either." Yabu added.
Yuya pouted. "Mou. Don't go on destroying my dream situations. What do you think then? Who was it for?" He directed this to Daiki, Yamada's bestfriend.
"Well, if I think about girls who would be his inspiration for this... Maybe Shida Mirai-chan? He liked her lots. I saw it when I was in school with them."

Shida and Yamada stood face to face, about one meter apart, on the rooftop, with the strong wind blowing. The boy was clutching on a small envelope. And the girl waited patiently for him to speak.
"I like you." he whispered to the wind.
"What?" she asked, blinking. His voice was too quiet.
"I like you, Mirai-chan." he repeated, this time loud enough. "I liked you ever since I met you when we were young."
A smile blossomed on her face. "Thank you, Yamada-kun. I appreciate it." she laughed quietly before walking slowly closer to him. "And I like you too. A lot." She playfully took the envelope from his hands. "Is this a love letter then?"
Yamada blushed crimson. Shida really never change. She's as forward as she was back then. "Y-you don't have to read it. It's embarassing. And... ah, please just give it back."
She pouted cutely. "But it says in the envelope that it's for me. It's rude to take it back, you know?"
He couldn't resist that pout, that he was sure. And he couldn't stop her when she sat right there and opened the envelope. He then sat across her and just stared as she read it word per word.
He stared as her face turned red, and then when her expression turned into a shy flattered smile.
'This. This moment. This smile. I'll capture it into a song.'

The four other guys were laughing their hearts out as Daiki's explanation ended.
"Too weird."
"Overdramatic!" Hikaru looked at the ceiling and held out a hand like a poet. "This moment. This smile. I'll capture it into a song."
Another round of laughter ensued.
"And besides, Mi-chan doesn't like Yama-chan. She wouldn't react that way. More than anything, she'll probably push him down and shun him for weeks if he does that." He added seriously.
Yabu smirked. "From experience?"
Hikaru chuckled. "From experience." He then rushed to Yabu and Inoo and hugged the two. "Don't worry~ I love you two more than anyone in this world~"
Yuya sighed. "Oi, Yabu's harem. Stop flirting and give us your ideas. Can't you see you stepped on poor Dai-chan's suggestion?"
"Hmmm..." Inoo placed his index finger on his chin. "Ohgo Suzuka-chan looks like a probable girl. I mean, just look at her. She's so elegant and beautiful. He was probably inspired while staring at her."

It was in class. They were having a lecture about variables and equations. But Yamada couldn't concentrate. His eyes were on a certain Ohgo Suzuka. She was beautiful again today. Just like a princess.
"And so this is equal to this..." their teacher was saying.
Beauty = Suzuka-chan. He was sure. He just can't take his eyes off from her. The way she wrote on her notebook, the way she blinked when someone answers, the way she mutters the equations the teacher says...
The way she glances at him...
WAIT. Glances AT HIM?
Oh. Everyone's looking at him now. Why?
Oh. The teacher's asking him something.
"...So, Mr. Yamada Ryosuke? Are you done staring at your beautiful classmate yet?" his teacher teased lightly, having fun seeing the boy blush so delicately.
The teacher let him off easily, making him promise to do extra work for not listening in class. He looks up to the girl he had been staring at and sees her staring back at him. And then she smiles and giggles a little.
And that's when Yamada thought that he doesn't care how much times he gets scolded, as long as he would be able to see Ohgo Suzuka laughing like that cutely.

Hikaru simply raised an eyebrow at Inoo. "For such a smart guy... I don't even know why you thought of that. Inoo-chan~ You're just tired~" He pats the boy's head.
"I'm not." Inoo retorted. "It's possible."
Daiki laughed. "In denial."
"And Inoo, the situation just wasn't right. Yama-chan doesn't have the courage to stare at a girl" Yabu explained with a laugh.
"And the ice princess at that." Daiki added.
Inoo looked at the floor, dejected. "Then we're all wrong."
Yabu tilted his head to the right and started to think up another possibility. He then rummaged through the papers again and took out one paper that didn't have as much writings on it. "Hey, I got this memo about Yama-chan and Umika-chan being in a drama together for the next next season."
The four looked up in curiousness. "Really? Maybe she's the one!"
...They were about to think about what scene would happen when the door burst out open. In came Chinen, Ryutaro and Keito who looked as if they knew what was happening.
"I told you not to enter." Ryu muttered irritatedly at Chii. "I wanted to hear it."
The BEST members simply shrugged and continued thinking about the situation.

"It will be nice working with you!" Umika Kawashima was smiling that ever so cute smile of hers as she bowed to Yamada Ryosuke who just got the news about them working together for a drama.
He smiled and said "Same here."
From then, they always talked about the script, helped each other memorize the lines and did a lot of things to build up their bond. The director told them to be as close as possible so that the scenes would look more natural.
Soon, they were eating lunch together. Then mailing about other stuff, other than school or career, just about life. And they were being closer than ever.
And slowly, Yamada felt himself falling in love with that girl with the bright smile. And he was wondering how to confess his love... And so he thought up a song... Just for her...

"Impossible!!!" Chii pouted and yelled. Yuya patted his head and calmed him down. "That won't happen."
Yuya spoke up from the silence after Chinen's little outburst. "Don't talk about that in front of Chii. He'll throw a tantrum."
"Why?" Yabu asked. "His crush in school?"
The 'babysitter' shook his head, a small smile on his face. "His secret girlfriend. Ssshh." He ruffled the little boy's hair fondly. "So it's impossible that she's the one. Yama-chan's afraid of Chinen, we all know that."
"...then who?"
A small smile was on Keito's and Chinen's face as they looked away from the BEST members. Good thing no one but Ryu noticed.

"So Chii, how did you manage to compose it so fast?" Yamada and Yuto curiously asked the boy.
The boy shrugged at first and asked "Other than the fact than I am THE Chinen Yuri?"
They nodded dismissively and prodded him further. No use being put off by the boy's natural air of confidence.
"They told me to make my own style and make the song reflect me. So I made it by looking at my picture..." he blushed a little as he remembered the picture.
Yuto, being a great Chii-observer, saw this tint of pink on his cheeks. "And...? The picture was with...? Umika-chan?"
"..."
"...Because you smile the best when you're with her, right?"
Chinen blushed a deeper shade of red.
Yuto smiled wider. Yamada stared cluelessly at the two. The tall boy put an arm around his bestfriend's shoulders and told him that he'll explain everything later.
Some hours later, after Yuto had explained to Yamada and after Yamada had practically begged to sleepover at Yuto's, they were now in bed about to sleep.
"I realised something because of Chinen." Yamada whispered, smiling at Yuto.
"What?" Yuto asked, moving his body more to the left to be able to look at Yamada directly.
Yamada chuckled. "Secret."
"Mou~" Yuto pouted.
"That pout~ Not working." he smiled and said, "Sleep now, we have work tomorrow."
"How about you?"
"I'll try thinking about the lyrics to the song."
And that night, staring at Yuto's lovely face, staring at that face that helped him through every ups and downs of his life, he made this song. A love song, yes. A song for him. A song for his love.

He smiled and said "Same here."
From then, they always talked about the script, helped each other memorize the lines and did a lot of things to build up their bond. The director told them to be as close as possible so that the scenes would look more natural.
Soon, they were eating lunch together. Then mailing about other stuff, other than school or career, just about life. And they were being closer than ever.
And slowly, Yamada felt himself falling in love with that girl with the bright smile. And he was wondering how to confess his love... And so he thought up a song... Just for her...

"Impossible!!!" Chii pouted and yelled. Yuya patted his head and calmed him down. "That won't happen."
Yuya spoke up from the silence after Chinen's little outburst. "Don't talk about that in front of Chii. He'll throw a tantrum."
"Why?" Yabu asked. "His crush in school?"
The 'babysitter' shook his head, a small smile on his face. "His secret girlfriend. Ssshh." He ruffled the little boy's hair fondly. "So it's impossible that she's the one. Yama-chan's afraid of Chinen, we all know that."
"...then who?"
A small smile was on Keito's and Chinen's face as they looked away from the BEST members. Good thing no one but Ryu noticed.

"So Chii, how did you manage to compose it so fast?" Yamada and Yuto curiously asked the boy.
The boy shrugged at first and asked "Other than the fact than I am THE Chinen Yuri?"
They nodded dismissively and prodded him further. No use being put off by the boy's natural air of confidence.
"They told me to make my own style and make the song reflect me. So I made it by looking at my picture..." he blushed a little as he remembered the picture.
Yuto, being a great Chii-observer, saw this tint of pink on his cheeks. "And...? The picture was with...? Umika-chan?"
"..."
"...Because you smile the best when you're with her, right?"
Chinen blushed a deeper shade of red.
Yuto smiled wider. Yamada stared cluelessly at the two. The tall boy put an arm around his bestfriend's shoulders and told him that he'll explain everything later.
Some hours later, after Yuto had explained to Yamada and after Yamada had practically begged to sleepover at Yuto's, they were now in bed about to sleep.
"I realised something because of Chinen." Yamada whispered, smiling at Yuto.
"What?" Yuto asked, moving his body more to the left to be able to look at Yamada directly.
Yamada chuckled. "Secret."
"Mou~" Yuto pouted.
"That pout~ Not working." he smiled and said, "Sleep now, we have work tomorrow."
"How about you?"
"I'll try thinking about the lyrics to the song."
And that night, staring at Yuto's lovely face, staring at that face that helped him through every ups and downs of his life, he made this song. A love song, yes. A song for him. A song for his love.
