(no subject)
AWA was this past weekend and something just seemed off this year. I don't think it was the cons fault, just a personal thing. For starters it was only 10 days after Dragon*Con (which I had such an amazing time at) and I had to make a masters level costume contest costume during that time. Not much sleep was had, and honestly I was a little surprised I was still standing by the time the con actually rolled around. I still had a good time though, and enjoyed the company all around. :)
I'd like to mention that Tom entered the AMV Pro competition this year and took home the award for 'Best Use of Effects' for his Basquash video. I think he deserved 'Best In Show' after seeing the other entries, but oh well. Check it out if haven't yet!
With AWA done and over with, my con season is just about over. I have one more con in December (Atlanta Wizard World), but I think I'll mainly be re-wearing costumes from earlier in the year.
Already I have costume plans for next year, or at least wants:
Lunar: Silver Star Story
I've wanted to make this costume for a while now, since Lunar was one of my first RPGs, and Jo inspired me to make it after I saw the beautiful Luna she did earlier in the year. I think my goal would be to have this one for MomoCon next year. I love her sarcasm and pointy ears~
Fairy Tail
I finally made one Levi costume and I come home from AWA to find Levi has a new costume! There's only hints of it available right now, and obviously I'll have to wait forever for color, but from what I see it's really cute, all with flowers and ruffles. I have hoping for a new Juvia costume, but she instead reverted back to an older outfit I'm not that fond of. That might be temporary though. There's also a new character I'm interested in making a costume for:
Lisanna is Mirajane's long lost sister and Natsu's best childhood friend. She's really sweet and is a cat lover to boot. Plus she has white hair and I've always wanted to do a character with hair of that color, especially with a short cut.

Meru bought me this figure as a belated birthday present this past weekend and it's only made me want to cosplay this outfit more. I think it's one of the cutest Ritsu outfits from the show, all the way down to the corny pink heart sunglasses.
The anime officially ended last week, so No Thank You is the last ending. I've done the other endings and thus I want to finish off the set with this one. Plus, I already own about 70% of it...just need the yellow running shorts and sneakers.
I'm highly considering a Game of Thrones costume for Dragon*Con based off the show that will be airing on HBO in the Spring.
I'll also be participating in whatever groups Kamikaze Kiss decides to do next year.
I've slowly been making costume updates to my ACP account, so if you want to see any of my recent costumes including Vanille, Ruffnut, and Felicia, you can check them out there. More picture updates to come, especially of Kamikaze Kiss' Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne costumes from AWA, which won Best In Show Masters! For winning we won several photoshoots with Dim Horizon Studio, so we'll be sure to get some amazing pictures in the near future.
