The Yarns, Peat part 10

Emerald manages to wait a few hours after her last failed attempt before making another wish.



The well has granted her wish in the form of Merlin! (sixasims) [simultaneous love #3]



Apparently only she is allowed to be charming and kissy. The sight of her parents doing the same thing is GROSS!

lol.



Frog Prince: AHHH!! ahamamanana WAHHHH!!!!



Frog Prince: *eats happily*
Bowl of fruit = satisfaction XD



Emerald: OH NO! ...she's behind me, isn't she?
Yus, she is dear.





Ooooh, this can't be good for Emerald's self esteem.



But, fights with old ladies aside ... it's time for a summer birthday! The cake's been bought, fish grilled, and family invited over.



Oh, and Peat invited over some teenagers he met the other day. He thought Emerald might like to meet them.

It was a very agreeable conversation :)



Before too long Allison called them all over to the birthday cake, to celebrate the one and only, Frog Prince!



Frog Prince: Wow, those guys are loud. What is all the fuss about?



Teen-Grasshopper: YAY FROG PRINCE! WHOOO!!!! I LOVE BIRTHDAYS
Allison: *stares*
Frog Prince: Oh! My birthday!! ....wait, what's a birthday?



Allison: Blow out the candles, baby!
Frog Prince: *tries*



Birthday scene. Complete with Russet and Henye in the hottub.



Peat and Enchanted try out a new game with the big Pahu drum and Limbo bar.\



whoops, lol!



yeah...you're a little late there Russet.



Unk's a hard win romantically, but I do believe that Emerald has made a new friend!! She finds him really fascinating, especially his stories about aliens.



The next day, Frog Prince heads off to school for the first time.



Peat and Allison spent much of the day like this.



On coming home from school, Emerald was very much in demand.



But by the time she got off the phone, there was a different crowd in the kitchen.



Frog Prince: And Frog Prince wins again!!! *cheers*
Urania Inge: *great frustration*
Emerald: Frog Prince's victory dance is IN MY WAY!!! And the matchmaker is HERE!! ALsdkF!



But eventually she made it out there in time to find the matchmaker hiding in the big fir tree out front.



With the money she had saved up, Emerald wished for a blind date.



After an introduction by the matchmaker, Emerald was quickly smitten by the vamp-goth Vincent.



He was equally smitten.



Emerald: *finds song*



Emerald and Vincent: *singing* Oooooooooh!! Dancing in the moonlight, with youuuuuuUU!

At the end of the date Emerald had a crush on the darkly-clad Vincent Tsang. He even left her a rose in thanks for the great date! Collective *awwww*

Since summer was coming to a close and Frog Prince was old enough to travel, the Yarns decided to go on vacation! Peat and Allison were hoping for some quality family time, their babies were growing up so fast!



And Copper Ranch? A delightful treat that Ben and Clementine had bought many years back. It was high time to visit.



Allison: Haha, I WIN!
Peat: Let's go again! *plus plus*







And as with most games or contests between Peat and Allison



...they had a good laugh and ended in a tie.



Enchanted and Emerald tried a different sort of game.
Emerald: If I lose one more time ...





Oooh, look at Emerald's bullseye!! (middle target)



Her last throw's barely in the target, but she's pretty good at this game!



Enchanted's throws, on the other hand, are a little more ... haphazard, shall we say?



Enchanted:I'm so awesome at going on vacation! Did you see the axes I threw!! Inside the target, each one of them! I'm a World Class Traveler!
Emerald: Uh huh, that's great Enchanted. You know the point was to get them in the middle of the target, right?
Enchanted: Pfft, doesn't matter!!



Enchanted: And guess what?!
Emerald: What?
Enchanted: The wizard unlocked another secret level, I'm ahead of you again!



Enchanted: Oh, and by the way...congratulations on your failed wish at the well!
Emerald: -.-



Back at Copper Ranch, everyone engages in their own favorite activities ... games.



Yoga. (Maybe next time she'll beat that old lady!)



swinging.



And a little romp for Peat and Allison.



But family times are had, just as Allison and Peat hoped.



Family times of a different kind -- panic!!



Thankfully, Clementine had the forethought to put a smoke detector in. The local firefighters came in a jiffy!



While Enchanted got her burned dinner off the stove (yes, it was Enchanted's fault!),
Peat: Emerald, when we get back home, you should find a job, like your sister!
Emerald: Oooh, really?
Peat: Yes! Really! You can make a lot of money in a job, or so I've heard. Plus, there are treasures to unlock if you do really well. TREASURES!
Emerald: ...well treasures are nice.



Continuing the rounds to each of his daughters,
Peat: I just wanted to tell you, Enchanted, that I'm so proud of you!



Enchanted: Thanks, I always knew I was awesome! *claps happily*
Peat: My favorite A+ student, and a working girl too! *grins*



Peat: Hey, did you hear the one about the Knight of Baloo?
Enchanted: !! That's one of the best stories!!



A few minutes later...
Emerald: You're a matchmaker?
Matchmaker lady: Yes, dear I am!
Emerald: Super! I need a distraction from my family, one hot boy please!
Matchmaker: *stares into crystal ball* Coming right up dearie!



Oooh, the lucky boy is Matteo Pons-Watson, a teenage vampire from my Watson family. EPIC!



Emerald: This...is for you. From me.
Matteo: ...for me? A flower?? I've never gotten a flower before!



*swooon*



oooh, romantic!



But careful there, Emerald!! Watch his fangs!!



Matteo: Oooph! Gotta run! *plus plus*
Emerald: *sigh* Sweet vampire, he was worth staying up all night for! *plus plus*



Yet another kitchen fire, started by Enchanted. Again.



But the day takes a good turn when they find some small drums!! Frog Prince watches intently, I'm sure when he's big enough to give it a try he'll be perfect, lol.



Father and daughter pound their drums happily for hours. It gives Emerald some good thinking time, thinking about what she wants to do for a job (since it seems like she has to get one), and of course, thinking about what boy to call first when they get back home in a day or two!



and look! The family gets another genie lamp!! (Definitely awesome, but strange, since they have another active lamp at home! )



As their vacation draws to a close, Allison demonstrates what she's learned from the mountain neighbors:
Allison: RAAAaaaH! *pounds fist*
Emerald: ... you know, I still don't get it!



Peat and Allison: *kiss and embrace passionately*
Emerald: Romancing. Ur doin it wrong.

(I find this funny every.single.time. lol)



On their last morning, Peat gets the lucky job of cleaning the bathroom!
Peat: How did this get so dirty?? We were only here a few days!
Ya, is pretty gross there Peat. Good luck scrubbing it all clean before your taxi gets here!

Next time with the Yarns: Peat and Allison grow old, we check in with Russet and fam, plus Emerald romances more boys! Stay tuned, another update will be coming next week!
