ok all you kids who are computer savvier than me
i just got an ipod

except now i'm trying to put all my songs on it. they transfer fine, but if i delete any songs from itunes, the next time i plug my ipod in to put more songs on it, it "updates" and loses the songs i deleted from my computer. i cannot keep 500+ songs on my mothers computer, and i cannot never update my ipod again.
how do i do that?
