Playing House
Yay! We bought some new guest room furniture over the weekend--the bed and nightstand in this picture. I'm in love with the thistle motif, what with my "acquired" Scottish heritage*. I just spent an afternoon moving three beds around upstairs a couple of months ago, having inherited one from my Aunt Frances, but I might do it again and put the new one in the master bedroom for a while.
I think I would have really enjoyed having a dollhouse as a child. Or maybe even as an adult... It would be a lot less work than moving furniture around in real life.
*I've traced the non-English side of my family tree back to its Scottish roots, but we don't have nearly the assortment of consonants and vowels in our name as "Colquhoun".
