I think I can safely say that my Fall has officially begun. We walked outside a little earlier tonight, heading for the car, and the scent of someone's wood-burning fire had blanketed our entire street. That first whiff of woodsmoke always signals the change in seasons to me ( Read more... )

Yeah, it's not for everyone. I've found there are a few I really like, and most of the others are just kind of... blah. Problem is, I can never remember from year to year which are which, so I usually wind up trying a loser or two. :P

mmm, post road pumpkin ale. i really like dogfish head's "punkin ale". that's by far my fav. weyerbacher out of PA, makes a good one to. the name escapes me at the moment... it's only sold in 22oz. bombers and is pretty expensive. good stuff though. i'm brewing my own right now. smells great. hope it turns out good.

We used to burn leaves in Ukraine in Fall. It's very rare I see or smell leaves burning here, so when I do it remind me of home and my childhood.
It's a good sign when little things make a difference for you.

I like the smell of burning leaves. My grandparents used to burn them along with other brush and debris in a big bonfire each Fall, beside their vegetable garden. It reminds me of playing outside with my cousins when I was about 8 years old.
