So Long, Summer...

I think I can safely say that my Fall has officially begun. We walked outside a little earlier tonight, heading for the car, and the scent of someone's wood-burning fire had blanketed our entire street. That first whiff of woodsmoke always signals the change in seasons to me.

I took a (somewhat unintentional) nap this afternoon, and awoke this evening feeling a little restless and like getting out of the house. I was happy when drmellow agreed to tag along for some non-descript errands. Our adventure took us first to Target--for laundry detergent, toilet tissue and file folders--where I discovered paper towels with frogs on them. :) On the way home, it was my intention to stop at Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte (and Greg's desire to stop at China's Best for "real" food); we ditched both plans in favor of a spontaneous late supper at iHop, where I had pumpkin pancakes and indulged my taste for Fall, after all.

Little things really do make my day.
