Snow is a pain in the ass.
I'm glad the snow wasn't followed by freezing rain. I saw one forecaster call for a half inch to go on top of 7 inches of snow we had at the time. That would have been catastrophic!
I ended up shoveling my driveway 3 times. I was afraid that it would be too deep if I waited until the storm was over. The first time was in the midst of it. There was about 4 inches on the ground & the snow was blowing nearly horizontal. Oh yeah, there was thunder & lightning too!! That was kinda scary. I went out again just as daylight was fading. No wind, no thunder, just a gentle snow fall. I had things cleared up pretty well but the street still had about 10 inches on it.
By morning there was another inch or so & the street been plowed. I had a small mountain range at the end of the driveway. The third time was the worst. I think it's time to retire my shovel & buy a snow blower.
