If I were casting a movie of my novel, who-oh-who would I choose...?
Possibly the funnest game ever, incidentally. Especially when you're procrastinating actually writing your stories. Daydreaming is *so* productive, after all.
Eat your heart out, fantasy football leagues. *cackles*
Sean Maher as Castor Trius
Hey, he'd have to get used to worse abuse than that on the cast of As-Yet-Unnamed-Dragon-Story. *cackles* And hey, as a character, he's pretty much already learned the part. It may be typecasting, but the man is pretty beyond all reason, he can do "rich and stuffy", he can definitely do "protective big brother" (hell, it's kinda his claim to fame), he can do "ice princess", you couldn't improve his posture if you shoved a broomstick up...*cough*. We just have yet to see if he can do "gay sex". (Hrm, I ponder the necessity of those quotations.) But in my own little universe, he *is* Castor to me. I watch Firefly reruns just to get a little "Ooooh, that's MY character!!" chill whenever he does something particularly Castorriffic.
Amanda Seyfried as Elicia Trius.
She's getting famouser lately (although for some reason she seems to be limiting her job pool to playing young girls named Sophie who are about to get married in romantic comedies set in Italy) so she's getting expensiver, but if I can get Sean Maher smooched silly by a cavalcade of men on film, I can find a way to pay Amanda Seyfried. *muhaha* Again, like Mr. Maher, Seyfried just looks the part of Elicia. Petite, blonde hair down to *there*, big blue eyes and weirdly enough, a vague resemblance to Maher. :P Also, I have confidence she can do a plucky heroine who still retains some emotional depth.
Reynaldo Giannecchini (say that five times fast) as Gerard Ghiamo
Hells YES.
I knew I'd have to find an Italian guy to play Gerard, but I never thought I'd find such a yummytastic one. Ooh, that *smile*...and he's got the boobs to play the part too, even if we'd have to pump up his upper body a little for the part (but short of hiring a bodybuilder, movie-equivalent-Gerard would be a little lesser-than-life anyway). And there might be a leeeetle language barrier. But oh well. And at 6'1", he'd tower over Maher at 5'10" just about right. :3 Also...that *smile*!!
