Holy hell, Uncle 'Arry!

~~~~~~
Work is going fantastically well. Everyone was all "Oh, Dr. Mathis is the nicest of all the doctors here. You are going to love him." and I was all "yeah yeah okay, you are just saying that" but he really is absolutely brilliant. He's very funny and has been very nice and patient and is just a great man and a great doc. I'm going to be working with all the docs (there are 4 total as of right now) but Dr. Mathis will be my supervising physician and the one I'll be working with the most.
I attended my first high school football game yesterday. It's so much fun being right there on the field and getting to run out for injuries and examine the player on the field while the crowd is going wild. It's really a cool experience. I was secretly going "come on compound tib/fib fracture. Come on really bad shoulder/ankle/knee dislocation. Come on!" but nothing much happened. A shoulder/neck injury that was more muscular and then a knee injury that was just a bit of a sprain. *huffs* (I'm awful, I know, but I'd rather the first time I experience something awful like this be when I'm with one of the other PAs or docs and not when I'm by myself next year when I have my own team to watch.)
~~~~~~

Didn't see the United game (as there was no way I was going to wake up at 6 AM for it) but haff seen highlights. Eh. The most exciting thing was Wazza kissing his badge and then holding up "number 1" to the Everton fans (LUUUUUULZ. I need an animated icon of that, for srs) and then Giggsy and Rio jumping all over Phil when he made that horrible tackle on Cris. (And Johnna's imagination goes wild imagining the conversation between the two brothers later. Mmmmmmph.)

The Scouse/Chelski match should be interesting tomorrow. I'm hoping to wake up early to head to the pub and watch but that's probably not going to happen lol. So.

~~~~~~
I'm done with radiation on Wednesday. YAY FOR ONLY THREE MORE DAYS! And I'm getting my port out on Friday so as of Friday I will be DONE WITH CANCER YAYES. Except for followup scans and stuff, of course.
~~~~~~

Dynamo are playing Chivas tonight in a game that does not matter. What does matter is the Kansas City game tonight and the DC United game tomorrow. We want KC to lose and DC to win, so we play KC in the first playoff game next weekend since Johnna can afford to road trip it up to KC. If we play DC or New York, I won't be able to afford the plane ticket. So come on!!!

glory glory man united, dem bones, football: the beautiful game, burnination of the cancers, who? houston dynamo, trust me; i'm a doctor
