Been awhile...

since I have updated.  I had a wonderful, but very tiring weekend, but not one I regret mind you.  I was blessed to have words_spoken  to think of me, and come down for a visit.  And what a wonderful visit it was!  It was so nice to have an adult conversation, and another person in the house, even if it was for a few days.  But meant the world to me, for she is a really wonderful person, and makes me wish even more that we didn't have our orders changed.  I have found a friend for life.  I'm not feeling too well, so not going to nitty gritty details, any wants to know can go to her journal for more info. about our weekend.  I had enjoyed my first live performance on Sat. of Celtic Music, and hope to be able to go out and to see them again.  It was comical and very enjoyable.  Met alot more new folks from the area from alaskans  community.  Seemed to be alot of great people, wished I was able to spend more time with them, but with son, one can only do so much. lol  But I had others to talk to which was cool.  Did learn one more lesson this weekend, will not be traveling a whole lot of post, and will keep on hibernating, for the traffic is terrifying out there.  It scared me a great deal....added to my phobia of traffic.  Dropping words_spoken  was a very emotional/bittersweet thing for me.  I came home called up pudytat  and bawled my eyes out.  It was like having a natural high all weekend, and coming down from it.  The wind was nasty when we got close to the airport, and then thought it was going to blow me away when I stepped out of the car...and the drive home was nasty due to more traffic and alot of wind.  But it was clear and sunny, just beautiful.  The mountains along the Alaskan Range were surperb.  John M. fell asleep before we had arrived, and woke up when we came through the gate on post.  He was very, very, very upset that he wasn't able to say good bye to Susan.  Strange child at times.  A couple of times out on photo shoots, he would say, leave her, and then when it was time for her to go, he didn't want her to.  But odd thing, he is back to himself, not the mouthy, back talking, agruementive boy he has been all weekend.  Is this a peek to how he will be once hubby is home?  Yikes.

Warning...alot of photo's...

Here is Denali (aka Mt. McKinley) in the distance...found a perfect place on post to get this shot, not the greatest, but she is impressive.

Here is one that Susan shot with my camera of John M. and I (yes, I know, I don't look prego in this)...
