Bigbang Art - Supernatural: Whisper of the Heart - by Amalthia
Finally it's time again to present you this year's wonderful Bigbang Story: Whisper of the Heart by the lovely Amalthia.
Here you will find the Art-post for this amazingly unique and funny story. It was such a fun time drawing for her and imagining all the countless little moments of warm fuzzy feelings, breathtaking hilariousness and aching sadness. Cover
This was the first picture to be done and it's changed a lot from four very separate character pieces in ink, through one heavy crash which cost me about 6 hours of coloring work to it's final cheery form. I wanted to compress the hilarity which unerringly follows the story's premise even as I tried to make Dean's and Sam's form more reality like.
Sketches
Sam tossed the pillow aside with a dramatic sigh, and rubbed his eyes with a paw. Dean didn't say anything when Sam paused, blinked his huge eyes a few times and stared at the paw on the end of his furry arm.
Dean looked straight ahead and ignored the other drivers on the road that did double takes when they saw them in the car. Kids plastered their noses to the glass as parents drove by quickly. Dean thought he'd known humiliation when he was in hell but this took the cake. His car would never forgive him.
Castiel shrugged his shoulders a human gesture he'd taken to using recently. "I don't know. What was done has never been done to a human, let alone two. That is why I'm worried. Every hour you're in those bodies your powers will gain strength until they burn you from the inside out. These forms only delay the inevitable."
It's kind of an alternate take on events as it never really happened in this story.
"Yeah, thanks for remembering." Dean climbed out of bed and headed over to the fresh smelling donuts sitting innocently in their cute bag with bright lettering. He opened it up and inhaled. They smelled heavenly and through the bag they felt warm, like they'd just come out of the oven. Oh what fun it was to do Funshine's expression.
the final showdown
Sam's wide wet eyes filled with stars again drowning out the hazel color and his red heart on his stomach began to glow just as Dean's sunshine face on his chest glowed. Dean wasn't sure which of them made the move to stand up but they both found themselves on their feet and holding hands.
Alternate Cover
Because after doing the first cover while still reading the story, it got darker the further towards the finale I came and I wanted to do another cover version where this side was also expressed. Also Castiel and Lucifer had to be included and who doesn't love their tarot symbolism and thunderstorm imagery.
