SMAPxSMAP ~ Most Wanted 5 Women Talk

Aug 31, 2009 06:48

SMAPxSMAP that was aired August 24th ago, had a different format. It was a special episode and the talk format was like TOKIO's MentoreG/5LDK!^o^   Ureshiii~~!

They had 5 female guests in turn to come into the same room together with all 5 of them. In this episode, they only aired talk with 3 female guests. SMAP members took turns to be the main host for each guest. They made a poll from women in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s of what they want to ask these guests. So each main host has official questions for the guests, that was a result from the public poll.

First guest was actress, Ishihara Mariko, 45 years old. The main host was Nakai.

Ishihara Mariko made an uproar in 2006 by releasing an autobiography book that published details about her relationships with her past boyfriends, and these men are mostly celebrities, including Akashiya Sanma.

In Sanma and SMAP that aired Dec 23rd, 2006, Sanma's Most Irritating Woman for the year was "The Woman who Released Exposure Book", hinting that it's Ishihara Mariko XD  The VTR clip re-did Ishihara Mariko's press conference where she said, "Sanma-san was extremely so-so in bed," XD  SMAP members, especially Kimura, had so much fun in teasing Sanma about this. Kimura said, "I'm sure everyone expect that Akashiya Sanma is someone great in bed!", the female guests agreed to that and Sanma said, "Ah, really?? You expect me great in bed?? I'm sorry that I'm just futsu(so-so)!", lol. And then, he said, "I think I worked so hard on the afternoon that day, that I got tired on the night! Not that I'm making any excuse, but I think I'm really a man who can do better at night!! Just for that night, something was wrong with me!"....mwahahaha... Sanma, is this okay to be broadcasted? FYI, Sanma and Ishihara Mariko dated 20-some years ago.

(Oh, something interesting. Sanma said, "Kimura, I guess you'll experience something like this in the future...". The female guests went, "Heeee~~~??". The other SMAP members were surprised and laughed awkwardly.
And Kimura's face was very serious, he didn't smile at all. Sanma continued, "When that happen, remember how I handle this talk!!". Kimura just nod, still with that serious face XD   LOL, I've over-analyzed this part too much, I don't wanna say it here, haha)

Back to Ishihara Mariko, she just got married to singer and actor, Tamaki Koji, 50 years old, in February 2009, after almost 24 years turbulent relationship became public. I only know Tamaki Koji from Kanno Miho's drama, Ai no Uta, it was a love story between Miho and Tamaki Koji, despite the huge age gap XD

Back in 1985, while Tamaki was married, it was discovered that Tamaki and Ishihara were having an affair, which led to his divorce the following year. However, they broke up not long after that.
After their breakup, Tamaki went on through two more marriages, while Ishihara had several relationships with other big celebrities, including one marriage and divorce.

But they finally got back together in February 2009, when Ishihara visited Tamaki, worried about his chronic pancreatitis that has forced him to take a break from work.

Soon after their reunion, Tamaki proposed.

To think that Tamaki was 26, and Ishihara was 21 when they first dated, they had such a long history... and it's like they are soulmates. And I can't help to think, "Huaaaaa...... this is how Kimura Takuya and Matsu Takako should end!!!". LOL!
I was thinking... is this what gonna happen to KimuraMatsu? They'll get married when Kimura is 50 and Matsu is 45... ? *v*

My imagination kept working when I listened to Ishihara Mariko's love story with Tamaki Koji, and so for those who don't like KimuraMatsu pairing, you might want to avoid reading my comments in-between the translations XD

(Sometimes I add in comments in Indonesian, the reason is because it's not fitting to express it in English. But, just ignore it, if you're not Indonesian^^)

Nakai: I'm about to introduce you as Ishihara Mariko-san here, but you've changed your name, right?
Ishihara: That's right, I'm Ishihara Mari from now on.
Nakai: Alright then, this is Ishihara Mari-san! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

Nakai: So you've changed your name to Ishihara Mari-san?
Ishihara: Yes.
Nakai: Why did you change your name?
Ishihara: I just want to end the name there.
Nakai: What do you mean, end it there?
Ishihara: Just somehow...
Tsuyoshi: In my case, it would be Kusanagi Tsuyo.
Nakai: (laughs) Well, she's from Mariko to Mari...
Ishihara: That's a bit different.
Shingo: That's different, ne.
Tsuyoshi: Eh? Different? Ohh...
Shingo: Different!

note:
"Mari" is also a common name in Japan. But "Tsuyo" as a name doesn't exist in Japan (I've never heard of it before, at least), so maybe that's why they think it's different^^

Q. How do you live your life now?

Nakai: So you just got married right?
Ishihara: Yes.
Nakai: You got married, so how's your daily life now?
Ishihara: After I got married, we went abroad... for honeymoon...
Nakai: Where did you go for honeymoon?
Ishihara: (suddenly coughs)
Nakai: (surprised) Ehhh??? Was I not suppose to ask that question??!
Shingo: It might be something hard to tell.
Nakai: *to Ishihara* Is it??
Ishihara: (takes a deep breath)
Nakai: (gives her, her drink) Please, drink lots of this.
Ishihara: (laughs) I'm alright! Everyone, please.

(all of them finally drink their drinks too and cheers, lol)

Nakai: So, where did you go?
Ishihara: At first, we were thinking to held the ceremony abroad. Then as we talked about it and many country names came out, I remember I've always wanted to go to Greece for honeymoon since I was a child.
Nakai: Heee....
Ishihara: I've forgotten about that, all these time, but...
Nakai: It was like one of your dream?
Ishihara: That's right. I also love Greek gods legend...
Nakai: I see...
Ishihara: I really love Zeus. And so we went to the island where Zeus was born...
Nakai: You held the ceremony there?
Ishihara: Yes.
Nakai: Was it nice? A wedding ceremony is nice?
Ishihara: Yes, it's nice...
Kimura: How long were you in Greece?
Ishihara: After the ceremony ended, when we talked about when we would like to go home, then suddenly we had an idea "How about going to another country?".
Nakai: Ii naaa....
Shingo: Sugeeee!!!
Nakai: So, how many days was your honeymoon, in the end?
Ishihara: In the end, we went for about half a year...
SMAP: EEEEEEHHHH??!?!?!
Nakai: HALF A YEAR?!?!
Ishihara: I just got back home, not long ago...
Kimura: Where did you go to, besides Greece?
Ishihara: After Greece.. we went to France...
Shingo: Iii naaa...
Ishihara: From France... we went to the north...
Ishihara: ...and then, Canada... and somehow we ended it in Korea.
Nakai: Why's that? Why's that?
Shingo: Did you suddenly want to eat yakiniku??
Ishihara: (laughs) Yes, somehow...
Ishihara: I love travelling. So whereever I go, I just keep walking just like in my own country.
Nakai: *to Shingo* Don't you love it too?
Shingo: I really love travelling too. I just walk to whereever I wanna go.
Ishihara: Ahh... You're Aquarius, right?
Shingo: Ah, sou desu!
Ishihara: Me too.
Nakai: Ah, Aquarius loves travelling, is there such a thing??!
Ishihara: No, no!
Shingo: Yes, there is!
Nakai: There's no such thing!

Q. Why did you get married?

Ishihara: Well, just normally, I was proposed...
Nakai: What did he say?
Ishihara: He just said it directly, "Let's get married!". We got married on February, 7th, this year.
Nakai: It was half a year ago...
Ishihara: I was suddenly very worried about him, that time. I was thinking, "What if he dies?". I was crying that time. So, in any case, I just need to meet him. Then, I went to meet him...
Nakai: Where did you meet him?
Ishihara: At the station.
Nakai: Station??
Ishihara: I went there by shinkansen.
Nakai: So, Tamaki-san, your husband was in Karuiza?
Ishihara: Yes.
Nakai: So he picked you up at the station?
Ishihara: Yes.
Nakai: How did it feel?? You haven't seen him for 23 years.
Ishihara: He told me that when he saw me walking towards him, he immediately thought, "Yappari! She's my soulmate, Mari!". But I was actually looking at other people while walking.
Nakai: Ehh?
Shingo: Eeeehhh??
Nakai: What kind of destiny was that??!
Ishihara: (laughs) Sumimasen!

(yanie: in my head, Kimura picked up Matsu at the station after a long time they didn't meet, and Kimura thought, "Yappari! She's my soulmate, O-Taka!" XDDD)

Nakai: What was your first word to each other?
Ishihara: We were just like... "Umm~mm..." (nodding her head) But then, we didn't say anything...
Kimura: (mumbles to himself) I can totally imagine this...

(yanie: waaa... chotto, Kimura!! You mean you can imagine that you won't be able to say a word too, when you get to meet your soulmate that you haven't seen for a long time??! XD)

Ishihara: Then, we held hands... he carried my bags... then we walked together...

(yanie: yaaaaabai!!! I can picture Kimura and Matsu stared at each other for a few seconds without saying anything because it has been such a long time, and then Kimura grabbed Matsu's hand, while Kimura's other
hand grabbed her bags, VIVIDLY in my head!!!! LOL!)

(Nakai seem so moved to hear that, he made a noise, "Urrggghghhh!!!!" and then he turned to Goro and strangled him, LOL! Meanwhile, Kimura kept staring into space, like he's trying to imagine something =P)

Nakai: Then what happened after that??! (yanie: LOL! Nakai seem so excited abt this!)
Ishihara: I didn't know that his hair has become all white... so I told him, "Let's do something about that!". So I dyed his hair black that day.
Nakai: So you went to the saloon?
Ishihara: No, I did it for him.
Nakai: WOW! That must be fun! You told him, "Let me dye it for you," ?
Ishihara: Yes.
Nakai: You dyed it blonde?
Ishihara: (laughs) No, it was black. Then I was with him for 24 hours.
Kimura: He accepted you, so it was okay, right?
Ishihara: Yes.
Kimura: Yokatta na...

(yanie: Um? I don't get Kimura's question, "Uke totte kureta kara, ii desu yo ne?".  What's that suppose to mean? He was worried Tamaki-san didn't accept Ishihara back? Or he was talking about the hair-dying?)

Ishihara: Yes. He said, "Mari understands me, na,".
Goro: He had the same feeling...
Ishihara: He was in the same place as I was, that time...
Nakai: So, you two are like, lovers?
Ishihara: Well, lovers, yes... but we're also like family, husband and wife, partners...

(yanie: Hmm... I remember when Kimura said in Ohayo Smap that he felt like Matsu is his relative, she's like an "insider" for him. But then in Bokura no Ongaku and Ohsama no Brunch? He also said meeting Matsu's father, felt like meeting his girlfriend's father. Yappari, soulmates feels about each other that way, ne... a lover, but also a family...)

Nakai: So, it's like you two have the same mind, ne.
Ishihara: Ah, that might be right.
Nakai: Then, how long did it take to finally realize you wanted to marry him?
Ishihara: Oh, he proposed me on that very day, the day we just met again.
Nakai: Eeeeeeeeh????

Q. What are the points that makes you fall in love with a man?

Ishihara: For me, I think... it's encounters..
Nakai: You must be a romantist.
Ishihara: Ah, I am, just like a fool.
Nakai: But I envy you to have that kind of point of view...
Ishihara: Sou desu ka...
Nakai: I'm more of the reality type...
Ishihara: Oh? But didn't it ever hit you... perhaps, like your heart...
Nakai: Mmm....
Ishihara: Like you feel, "My soul is talking by itself"...
Nakai: Not at all.
Ishihara: (laughs)
Nakai: I never felt anything like "soulmate"...
Ishihara: (laughs)
Shingo: But, Nakai-kun, if you experience all this yourself, you'll definitely feel the same way!!

(yanie: Ahh, this interests me... by the way Shingo said it, he must've known already the feeling of realizing someone is his soulmate^^)

Nakai: Heee... I definitely won't!
Kimura: Maybe you should just pick her up at the station first!

(yanie: Ahahaha.... somehow the image of Nakai picking up Nakama Yukie at the station, just struck my head, lol!)

Nakai: I think I would just send a fax to her house.
Ishihara: Heeee....??? (laughs)

(yanie: Nakai! Maksud loe??? LOL! Now, I think Nakai won't get married until he's 50 ^^;)

Q. What was your reason to publish an autobiography book?

Ishihara: The beginning was that I appeared in this program where I get to talk about my life. Then as I talked about it, apparently there were so many things happened in my life and I've experienced so many things, that I didn't get to finish to tell about it. And then I was offered, "How about releasing a book about your life?". I've actually wanted to release it too, someday. To talk about entering the Japanese entertainment world, also how I studied abroad in America, ...I wanted to write an autobiography with a bright feel to it. Then, as you know, in the normal procedure, a book has to go through editing process...
Nakai: So, they checked your writings, and they said to you, "Can you please re-write this part a bit?".
Ishihara: Yes, yes. Then, as I received the first edited script, I went, "Ehh?? Where does these names come from?". Apparently they picked them up from the published rumor articles. They x-crossed all of my writings, and they said those were all not good... In the end, ... (in small, hesitant voice) I was not the one... who write it....

SMAP: (gets closer to her) Nn????

Ishihara: So far, in my life, I have never believed that there are people who can fool people like that... but apparently, things like this does happen....

Nakai: What do you think, Katori-kun?? What if you wrote about your life since you was born, about your childhood, and then you enter this world and become SMAP... but then, you're unaware that your published book is about bashing the 4 of us...?
Ishihara: (laughs)
Nakai: Don't you feel, "Areee?? This is not what I wrote!" but then they said to you, "We will release this, no matter what!"
Shingo: I would think that "I didn't write that...", but that's all...
Ishihara: (laughs)
Nakai: That's weird!!

Q. When will you start your activity as an actress again?

Ishihara: From now on, I'll just do it my way, without having to endure anything...
Nakai: In your own pace...
Ishihara: Yes.
Nakai: I think many people would like to see Ishihara Mariko, Ishihara Mari The Actress now!
Ishihara: Um...
Nakai: You have something like... it's not like it's 'maryoku' (magical power)...
Ishihara: No, it's not.
Nakai: It's not. But you guys understand what I'm saying, right?
Goro: Yes, yes, I know. But it just felt absorbing...
Nakai: But this is not a magical power...
Tsuyoshi: Isn't it 'miryoku'(appeal)?
Nakai: Not 'miryoku', not 'miryoku'!
Tsuyoshi: *to Ishihara* It's not magical power right? You're not a wizard, anyway, ne!
Ishihara: Nee...! (laughs out loud)

+END+

In official news articles published in August 27th, 3 days after this episode aired, it is revealed that Ishihara's book's publisher has raised an objection/protest to FujiTV for airing Ishihara Mariko's statement "I was not the one who write it" in SMAPxSMAP, as it is groundless and not true(maybe they're saying, that Ishihara Mariko did write the book herself indeed).
The publisher has only called FujiTV directly and haven't send an official written objection/protest, so FujiTV can't give any comment yet, but the publisher side and FujiTV side will meet and discuss it soon.

I've always heard abt Ishihara Mariko's bad reputation, so I always imagine that she has a not-nice personality, but surprisingly, to me, she actually looked and sounds pretty nice in this SxS talk. SMAP members also listened to her love story with alot of interest too, they seem to like her. But I see that Kimura doesn't seem to like her that much, although he seem to have interest in the part abt her meeting with Tamaki at the station =P

Second guest was the professional ballerina (also an actress), Kusakari Tamio, 44 years old. The main host was Tsuyoshi.
translated by yanie

I love her in SHALL WE DANCE movie!^^   She once appeared in Bistro SMAP with her husband, the director of SHALL WE DANCE. And wow, I just saw the VTR clips of her ballet performance in this SxS, and I'm amazed! Sugoooi! But this year, she announced her retirement from the ballet world... aww... =(

Tsuyoshi: *to Kusakari* Yoroshiku onegaishimasu! Please have a seat...
Kimura: *to Tsuyoshi* What's with that "Haaa~" ??
Tsuyoshi: This doesn't feel like SMAPxSMAP! Don't you think?
Goro: It feels like our first Ganbatta Taishow with the five of us...
Tsuyoshi: No, no, it's not Ganbatta Taishow!
Kusakari: I feel very nervous too, right now.

Q. What was the reason that you retire from ballet?

Tsuyoshi: It was this year, right?
Kusakari: Yes, that's right. In April, I did a tour... and that was the last. I felt like I have danced to the max, and that was the big reason. But it was also because... well, you know, how "Swan Lake" is the most popular one in ballet... in "Swan Lake" we use our left leg as an axis to do the turning, and then my left ankle...well, it got twisted a few times already, but since 6 years ago, when it got twisted, it finally made a crack. Then, perhaps also because of my age, it never healed properly, and so... like when I have to do 32 times turning....
Tsuyoshi: You turn around and around for 32 times?
Kusakari: That's right.
Shingo: 32 times??
Tsuyoshi: Don't you get dizzy??
Kusakari: (laughs) I've practiced so I don't get dizzy...
Kimura: How can you ask "Don't you get dizzy?" to a professional ballerina??
Tsuyoshi: Ne, Goro-san... even only 5 times turning...
Goro: So, when you turn around and around...

(Goro actually stood up and turn around, in a very, very funny way! LOL!)

Kimura: You won't be able to turn around and around even it's only for 5 times!
Goro: (still turning around) ....you keep focusing your eyes at one point, so that you don't look away, right?
Kusakari: That's right.
Shingo: You're not doing it right...
Kimura: You're not doing it right at all.

(Nakai hit Goro, LOL!)

Kusakari: But then I kept dancing... and it made my body's balance become worse. Many things happened, then in January last year, was the last time I danced "Swan Lake". Before that, whenever a Russian ballerina came here, I usually made a 'kyakuen' (guest appearance)...

Tsuyoshi: Hyaku-en(100 yen)???
Kusakari: .... kyakuen...
Tsuyoshi: Ah, kyakuen...

(yanie: Adoooooh, Tsuyoshi malu-maluiiiin! Wakakaka... malah gua yg jadi malu XD  I mean, he's interviewing a professional ballerina in such a very serious talk! XD   I LOL-ed at Kimura and Shingo's expression to that, haha. Kayaknya tu, mereka yang dah maleees banget, lol.)

(Nakai hit Tsuyoshi's arm, lol)

Kusakari: (laughs) I'm sorry.

(yanie: No, no! Kusakari-san, it's Tsuyoshi who suppose to apologize! As a fan, I apologize to you on behalf of him!! XDDD)

Tsuyoshi: I thought she said 'I did 100 yen...'!
Kimura: *to Kusakari* He really might have not been able to hear every important part.
Tsuyoshi: Sumimasen.
Kimura: So, please, don't apologize.
Nakai: You thought you can watch by paying 100 yen? That's dirt cheap.

Kusakari: If my body is not in full healthy condition, I won't be able to dance.

Tsuyoshi: You are a ballerina, anyway...

(silence)

(yanie: Lol, what an inappropriate comment on the inapproriate timing!! Tsuyoshi, onegai!! XDDD)

Nakai: What is it? Did you do that in purpose?
Tsuyoshi: No, no! I'm not joking around!
Nakai: You are! You did that in purpose!
Shingo: You're joking around, aren't you??
Nakai: I envy you.

Kimura: *to Kusakari* Is romance something good or bad for a professional dancer?
Tsuyoshi: Kimura-kun, you asked a good question! Next is...
Kimura: Wha---wha---what???!!
Nakai: What do you mean?
Kimura: What's this interruption??
Tsuyoshi: I'm going to ask this question too!
Nakai: It was a good flow already, we'd like to hear the answer!
Tsuyoshi: I'll ask this immediately, I'll ask this!
Kimura: Seriously... What??

Q. Why did you marry your husband?

Kusakari: On the way home after the movie promotion, there were only the two of us, and so we went to have a meal together. During the filming, I had no idea at all, that I'll marry him!
SMAP: Heeee....
Kimura: Hee??? Really??
Kusakari: Not at all. Then after that we called each other once in awhile... on the phone, we talked pretty long.
Nakai: That phase is fun, ne!
Shingo: It is! That phase is fun!
Nakai: That phase really makes you "dokidoki".
Tsuyoshi: With that... to finally get married...
Kusakari: Well, and then...
Nakai: *to Tsuyoshi* What? What?
Tsuyoshi: No, I just thought, it happens!
Nakai: The way you said it, was weird!!
Kimura: (laughs) Was that a claim??
Nakai: It felt like you were going to say, "Just with that, you got married with him?"
Tsuyoshi: But the romance...
Nakai: *to Kusakari* So, from the romance, what happened that it finally took you to marriage? Like, the turning point...
Kusakari: Yes, I was actually going to talk about that... (laughs)
Tsuyoshi: Ah, sumimasen, sumimasen! I'm very sorry!
Kusakari: One day, after my performance, I went to have a meal with him, and my parents came too. As he had meet my parents...
Nakai: So when you were director and actress, you used formal language right? Since when was it not formal anymore?
Kusakari: ....I don't remember.
Nakai: But that moment exist right?
Kusakari: Actually, probably it's not like as you all imagine...
Tsuyoshi: (interrupted) But I think...
Kimura-Goro-Shingo: OYY!! (Nakai was drinking, so he didn't react XD)
Tsuyoshi: Ano ne... they've jumped over it...
Nakai: The wall of how they talk?
Tsuyoshi: They've jumped over it, so she don't remember...
Kimura: Dakara! We are currently imagining the slow motion of that jumping over!
Tsuyoshi: But they jumped it over...
Kimura: You fast-forwarded it!
Shingo: He did it again...

(yanie: Seriously, Tsuyoshi has to learn how to let the guest talk XDDD  I'm afraid Kusakari Tamio-san's fans would submit complain to FujiTV^^;)

Q. What would be your activity from now on?

Kusakari: I will do movies, acting... In September, I will do acting for the first time.
Nakai: You mean, stageplay?
Kusakari: Yes, stageplay.

Q. What's the secret of keeping your weight?

Shingo: Since you will talk about it here, I want to ask... Beautiful ladies always said, "Ah, I don't do anything,". But what do you do, actually??

Kusakari: (laughs)

(yanie: Lol, Shingo must've remembered SmaStation with Takeuchi Yuko earlier this year^^   He asked her what does she do that she can be so pretty, but Yuko said she doesn't really do anything^^)

Kusakari: I think keeping my weight is related with keeping my health... It's really about the meal. When I was 27, I was injured with disk herniation...
Nakai: Hernia??
Kusakari: That's right, I had it in two places...
Nakai: Did you have to go through surgery?
Kusakari: No, I didn't. But I did training...
Nakai: So, you trained your muscles.
Kusakari: Then, that time, I was told that I should change my meal pattern. So, I totally stop eating meat from then on. So that I can get my health back.
Nakai: So, you stop eating meat since 27 years old?
Kusakari: It was since I was 30, that I totally don't eat meat.
Nakai: Totally!!?
Goro: You totally don't eat meat anymore??
Kusakari: As I stop, I can't eat it anymore.
Kimura: Ehh?? You don't eat meat?
Kusakari: I don't eat it anymore.
Kimura: Seriously?
Tsuyoshi: You don't eat all kinds of meat?
Kusakari: Well... when I get tired, sometimes I eat sasami(chicken breast meat), that's all...
Nakai: This is impossible for those at home who wanted to know her secret keeping her weight, and now she said it... I'm sure they can't live on just with sasami...
Tsuyoshi: We'd like to eat beef ribs too, ne!
Nakai: You'll get hungry!

Shingo: Although I know I eat alot, but I tend to say, "I don't eat much at all, but somehow I gained weight..."

(yanie: Ahahaha... that's nice, Shingo^^)

Third guest was actress, Darvish Saeko, 22 years old. The main host was Kimura.
translated by yanie

I recognized SAEKO first time in Dragonzakura^^  I liked her alot there. Then she appeared in Nodame Cantabile. In 2007, she married Darvish Yu, a baseball athlete. The following year, she gave birth to a baby boy. And now, she is pregnant with the second child.

Nakai: You're so young.
Saeko: I'm 22 now.
Nakai: 22??
Kimura: And last year? Last year, you had your first son.
Saeko: Sou desu.
Kimura: You gave birth to little Darvish-kun...
Saeko: Yes.
Kimura: And now, you're pregnant with the second one.
Saeko: I'm 4 months pregnant.
Kimura: Four months? Is it okay to sit like this?
Saeko: Actually, it's quite hard for me.
Kimura: She actually come to this show, even thought it is hard for her to sit!

Q. Who are your celebrity friends?

Saeko: One that has the same age as mine, Matsuura Aya-chan... One year older than me is Osawa Akane-chan... As for someone a bit more older than me, Hoshino Aki-chan.
Shingo: Aki-chan is...
Saeko: She's 10 years older than me.
Shingo: Yeah, she's the same age with me. Aki-chan has the same age with me. So, you hangout with her although you have 10 years difference?
Saeko: Yes, we have meals together, or talk about our favorite idols.
Kimura: (laughs) Talk about your favorite idols? May I know who's your favorite idol?
Saeko: Ehh... may I say this?? ...it's Kimura-san...

(Kimura laughed and stood up)

Nakai: Nandaa....
Goro: Eeeeehh????
Kimura: Sorry! Sorry!
Nakai: It's Darvish Kimura! *points at Kimura's seat* That is the best position!
Kimura: I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I feel really embarrassed now!
Nakai: (laughs) You didn't expect it??
Kimura: Not at all!!

Kimura: How do you start to know your friends?
Saeko: I met Matsuura Aya-chan on a drama filming set. I accidentally ran into Osawa Akane-chan at 109 (dept. store at Shibuya).
Kimura: Eh?
Nakai: Was it for filming?
Saeko: No, it wasn't.
Kimura: She wasn't too?
Saeko: Yes.
Nakai: So, your encounter with Darvish Yu had something to do with Osawa Oyabun??!

(note: Osawa Keiji (nickname: Osawa Oyabun) is a baseball coach, and he is Osawa Akane's grandfather.)

Saeko: No, no. But with Oyabun...
Nakai: You called him Oyabun??
Kimura: (laughs out loud) You naturally addressed him as Oyabun...
Saeko: I also had meals and went to karaoke together with Oyabun, too... but my encounter with my husband was a totally different matter. But recently, when I saw him at the (baseball) stadium, I thought he is really someone great.
Nakai: He is!
Saeko: So, recently, I changed my manners in front of him... (laughs)
Nakai: Your association has really widened, it must be fun!
Kimura: You also live the life as the athlete, Darvish's wife, so...
Saeko: When his seniors or his friends called me, I totally can't talk with them.
Nakai: Although they're Japanese? "Hey, come here!" and you couldn't talk like this?
Saeko: Although they called, but I couldn't talk, so I was really pushing myself to say, "Hajimemashite(how do you do)". And it's really tiring for me, so I wish they don't call me like that.

Q. How do you keep your beautiful skin?

Saeko: When I was a child, my father and mother had make-up products-related work.
Kimura: Your parents?
Saeko: Yes, my parents. They did makeup products sales, so like skin care, or to wash up my makeup before getting to sleep, I've always done these. But then, ever since I gave birth... my skin pores widened...
Kimura: (laughs)
Shingo: Eehhh! No way!
Nakai: You're only 22, right?
Shingo: You're 22!
Saeko: I know, but...
Shingo: Birth...
Saeko: The child really squeezed out everything, like my breast, and my hair falls too... but then I found "biganki" (lit: facial care tool)...
Goro: Ahhh... that "biganki" like the one in that commercial??
Kimura: *to Goro* You know everything, don't you??!
Tsuyoshi: *to Goro* Why??
Shingo: *to Goro* How did you know that??
Goro: There are the kinds with aroma inside too, ne...
Saeko: Sou ne!

(yanie: LOL. I remember just some days ago, Goro said that when he has a chat with Koyuki, it's like a woman and woman conversation about beauty products XD)

Kimura: So you bring that everywhere?
Saeko: Yes, yes. And since I often go from place to place together with my husband, I have this compact, very effective, 980yen, very cheap "biganki"... I use that when I put my child to sleep, or when I'm in the bathtub...
Tsuyoshi: Do you cook?
Saeko: Yes. But before marriage, I totally couldn't cook.
Goro: So, since then, you do it while learning?
Saeko: Yes. And since my mother is very good at it, she taught me bit by bit.
Tsuyoshi: What is Darvish's favorite meal?
Saeko: Sou desu ne.... tomato soup.
Shingo: That sounds delicious.
Saeko: Yes, he said, tomato soup is delicious...
Kimura: The warm one? Or the cold one?
Saeko: The warm one. When he comes home, he said, he'd definitely want to eat that.

(Saeko explains that Darvish has his own meal pattern depends on what kind of rehearsal or position he has in the game that day, so Saeko cooks everyday according to that)

Kimura: So he order what he wants?
Saeko: Yes, if he don't tell me, I don't know what to cook, either, anyway.
Kimura: I think you've been asked alot about this, that after you gave birth, and you finally got your original weight back, people must be asking, "How can you get your original weight back?".
Saeko: I gained 15 kg during my previous pregnancy. Then, when I gave birth, I thought I'll immediately back to be slim again.
My child was exactly 3000 grams...

Kimura: 3 kg?
Saeko: 3 kg, yes. Then the fetal membrane was 1 kg? So, there was 11 kg left. But the meal at the hospital was really delicious...
Kimura: (laughs)
Nakai: Yokatta ne...
Saeko: They also cook a portion for my husband...
Kimura: The hospital?
Saeko: Yes, the hospital! So I feel bad if I don't eat it... and then I gained 2 kg. So I have 13 kg to lose. But then in one week, I lost 6 kg.
Kimura: Eeehh??
Saeko: It was a new lifestyle for me, and I had to breastfeed too... so I lost 6 kg. But then I didn't lose weight anymore, since then. After a month, my husband told me, "I think it's time for you to lose more weight,". I guess what's hard for an athlete's wife is that they really concern about our weight. Like if my stomach muscles falls.
Goro: So they don't just concern about themselves?
Saeko: Or, like if my pelvis slips off...
Kimura: (loud voice) Your pelvis slips off?!?!!
Saeko: (laughs) Yes...
Kimura: You can just boneset that!
Saeko: (laughs) Then he took me to the gym, and he told me to do this device 10 times, do this 10 times, 10 times, and the walking one, maybe 25 minutes... he took me like that everyday.
Kimura: Like a program?
Saeko: Yes.
Kimura: So, it's like he's your trainer.
Saeko: Yes, really. Then in 1.5 months, I'm back to my original weight.
Kimura: Sugoi, ne!
Goro: Sugooi!
Nakai: So you got it back.
Goro: It must be quite an effort.
Kimura: You must've heard the muscles names often.
Saeko: Yes, when he talk about them, he seem so excited.
Kimura: (laughs out loud)
Saeko: He's really excited talking about muscles.
Shingo: I guess, they really do need those training, ne.
Saeko: Yes, he always do training at home.
Kimura: At home?
Saeko: Yes, when he comes home, he immediately get into the oxygen capsule.
Saeko: As for off days, like last year, he only had 3 days off, besides that he goes training and exercise.
Nakai: He's a professional, anyway.
Tsuyoshi: He fights internationally, ne.
Goro: As husband and wife, do you have time to do the same hobby, or...
Saeko: No... My husband don't have any hobbies, besides baseball... his hobby is his work. He use one whole day for baseball. So, I have no choice but to like baseball too.

Q. How did you meet your husband?

Saeko: I met him when I was 20. We met in our acquaintance's birthday. Then, as he saw me sitting alone, he sat next to me, as we're the same age... And since I don't really know much people with the same age as mine besides people in the entertainment world, so it's fun to hear his talk. And he had the same feeling, too.
Nakai: 20 years old is just a normal boy. It's a talk between a boy and a girl, ne.
Saeko: Then, it started from there. And since he's not a celebrity, we dated normally. But he's very tall...
Nakai: He stands out?
Saeko: Yes, he stands out, so it was revealed publicly pretty soon.
Nakai: He's big.
Shingo: How tall is he?
Saeko: 196cm.
SMAP: Eeeehh??
Shingo: That's big!!
Kimura: How about Saeko-chan?
Saeko: I'm 156cm.
Nakai: 40cm difference??
Kimura: Sugeee!
Shingo: You have to look at him like this! (look up)
Tsuyoshi: You know, in Friday IiTomo, there's height gap contest,
you and your husband can totally participate.

Saeko: (laughs) Really?
Tsuyoshi: It's about height gap.
Saeko: He's really tall, so it's hard for us to look for a house, too. He couldn't get into most of house types. He's really tall.
Shingo: 196 really stands out!
Nakai: If he walk around, people would immediately turn to him, ne.
Saeko: Sou desu ne... then we went to Sapporo for a date, then he said he'll take me to the famous Sapporo Clock, but he took me to the Sapporo TV tower, instead.
Kimura: (laughs)
Shingo: What does that mean??
Kimura: Not the clock?
Nakai: Is he a bit of an airhead?
Saeko: He never dated before!
Nakai: So he had no experience.
Saeko: Well, the TV tower has clock too, so it was not totally a miss, but he don't know the dating spots...
Nakai: He's not sensitive, ne.
Saeko: Also, the first time we went out for dinner, he took me to izakaya (drinking bar).
Nakai: But that simplicity is nice, don't you think? Also about his height growth... oh, not growth, he's already tall...
Kimura: That's not the point.
Shingo: If he still grow taller, he'll reach 2 metres!

Q. What is your concern as a professional baseball athlete's wife?

Kimura: Isn't this about the meal?
Saeko: Yes, I guess so.
Nakai: I think for physics, he handle it fine already. But his mental...
Saeko: He does travel alot, so as long as it's a good environment for our child, I will go along with him. He also want to be there as the father, anyway.
Goro: Darvish-san's fashion is quite kakkoii, was that the wife's production?
Saeko: Recently, he does go shopping for clothes. And I'm the one who do all the styling for him.
Nakai: May I ask a question? Who holds the finance?
Saeko: I manage it all. My husband only get his allowance share.
Kimura: *to the others* Isn't that something?
Tsuyoshi: You're so mature...
Shingo: Why are you so mature? You're only 22...
Saeko: (laughs)
Tsuyoshi: Usually girls your age can't do that...
Kimura: *to Tsuyoshi* How about you?
Nakai: Your mother does it(finance management) for you, right?
Tsuyoshi: I don't know who does it for me!

(everyone laughs out loud)

Tsuyoshi: Really!!
Shingo: Well, actually I'm doing it for him.
Tsuyoshi: Eeehh??!
Shingo: That's the reality. But, please keep it down about this.
Saeko: My husband is really not good at it, he only thinks about baseball... so it's like I have something... what my husband have I don't have... it works out well.
Nakai: You must be surprised to see a big sum of money that you have never seen before.
Saeko: It's scary! I don't know until when he can keep doing his job, either... So my recent hobby is somehow... saving...
Tsuyoshi: So mature...
Shingo: It's fine! I'm doing it for you!
Tsuyoshi: I feel worried about myself now.
Shingo: I'm doing it for you, so it's fine.
Saeko: He only use it for transportation fee.
Kimura: Transportation fee??
Nakai: Transportation to the stadium?
Saeko: Like, taxi fee...
Kimura: He don't drive a car?
Saeko: No, he don't. I try to drop and pick him up, as much as I can, though.
Kimura: Saeko-chan drives?
Saeko: Yes, I like driving very much.
Kimura: He don't drive?
Saeko: He don't even have a license
.

Kimura: He don't??
Saeko: That's why, it works well for us.
Nakai: So he only get the allowance share...
Saeko: Lately, he told me, "Please raise my allowance,"...

(everyone laughs)

Goro: Don't you want to buy things you want?
Saeko: Since I have a clothes store, I always buy things I want from the store's income. I don't buy things I want from my husband's income.
Goro: Oh, the western clothes brand store?
Saeko: Yes.

Q. Will you return to the entertainment world?

Saeko: That was a job I love, if there's still a place for me, I want to do it again someday. But right now, I have another child to give birth to, and that is the priority...
Nakai: Right now... Nippon-... *to Saeko* May I?
Saeko: Doozo.
Kimura: What's this about? What's this about?
Nakai: Right now, Nippon-Ham (Darvish's baseball team) has six athletes for... (yanie: sorry, didn't catch the baseball term XD) *to Saeko* Do you know that??
Saeko: Yes, I know.
Nakai: It's something amazing!

(silence)

Nakai: Are? This is not the atmosphere I was expecting...
Kimura: His perspective in baseball is weird...
Saeko: Rather than SMAP, he looks like the 'oniisan'(older man) at the stadium...

(yanie: LOL!! Nakai lebih mirip abang2 di lapangan daripada SMAP, kebayaaang XD)

(Nakai look so embarrassed^^)

Kimura: You just said the right thing!! That was really easy to imagine!
Shingo: Yes, yes!
Nakai: But there's SMAP in front of the stadium's oniisan!
Saeko: (laughs)

Nakai: I watched WBC from the booth... I always think how are the wives watching this? They must have feel proud.
Saeko: WBC is a bit different...
Nakai: It must be! How did you feel in that final round? In that final, everyone thought Fujikawa would throw the ball, but the coach instructed Darvish to do it. Although he was always the starting pitcher, but he was told to throw the last. But then his throw got hit. And then the time was extended! Did you see it?
Saeko: Yes, I was at the stadium, and I sat together with Fujikawa Kyuji's family.
Nakai: EHHHH?!??! But, the Fujikawa family....!!
Kimura: (laughs) You must want to join that Fujikawa family so much!
Nakai: (laughs) Totally... *to Saeko* Wasn't that hard for you?? Everyone thought Fujikawa would throw! Didn't you think that too?
Saeko: I also thought Kyuji-san would be the one who throw. So I was surprised. But that time, Kyuji-san's wife and older brother supported, "Ganbare(do your best), Darvish!!", so it was not like how I worried about, but he just has to do his best to answer everyone's support. But when it got hit, I thought, "Oh no... he won't be able to come back to Japan...". But I keep thinking, "Let's do our best!", and that time Kyuji-san's older brother told me, "It's fine, Saeko-chan, he'll make it!".
Kimura: Wooo... that's nice. Kakkoii, ne.
Saeko: Then, so I believe in everyone's strength and I support him. So when Ichiro-san finally hit it for the team...
Nakai: Ichiro is a god!
Saeko: He is!
Kimura: He's a god?
Nakai: He's a god! I'm sure Ichiro-san's wife had the same thought, "What if he can't make it here??".
Kimura: I guess a professional athlete's family means alot, ne!
Nakai: Really!!
Shingo: But as I heard everything now... I feel like "Is she really 22??".
Nakai: She has experienced so many things.
Shingo: You're so mature! Why is that?? How can you become like that?
Nakai: I wonder how did her parents educated her?
Saeko: But... my husband is really grateful to me, for supporting him. And he always said to me "Thank you".
Nakai: He's 23, deshou...
Saeko: Yes, but he properly convey it verbally. His father always taught him "If you don't say it, people won't understand,". During the WBC, at the end, when he made the rounds, he came to me and he hugged me, he said "Arigatou" to me. And just with that I felt like "I'm so glad I came here".

(They're so moved that Kimura hit Tsuyoshi and Shingo keep pushing Tsuyoshi)

Tsuyoshi: Ouch, ouch!

(Then, Nakai hit Goro)

Goro: Ouch!!

(yanie: Ahahahaha... the seat arrangements was very good! Goro and Tsuyoshi really should be separated so there's someone to bully in both sides of the seat, LOL! XD)

Goro: That time, I remember watching their expressions on TV. I think I saw Darvish looking very nervous, and I've never seen him like that before.
Saeko: I think so. But actually my husband don't really feel nervous when he does baseball. I also thought that he'd feel nervous in WBC, but when it ends he only said that it was fun. But on that very moment, he did think, "Yabee~(this is not good)"...
Kimura: So he did think "Yabee...."

+END+

I think this is really nice!!^o^   Now I want my favorite actresses to be the guest in this kind of talk segment!^^   Like, Matsu Takako?? Ahahaha... dame kana... Kimura would be cynical if Matsu start to talk about her husband and her marriage life XDDD   I mean when Matsu called him and she was going to announce her marriage, Kimura said in WUS he first guessed, "You broke up with him?" , nee...
