I just found out that Nakai's KuroBara has aired a series of talk corner concerning romance and marriage since last year! Omoshirooiii(very interesting)!^o^ I never had any interest in Kurobara before because I thought the format of the show was quite boring, it was all about batsu games and other silly stuff. But this marriage talk show is very interesting for me! Benkyo ni mo naru shi (I learned alot too), heehee...
It all started from the June 5th, 2011 episode when Nakai was told by a fortune teller that marriage doesn't suit him and it's better if he just date alot of women and keep a certain distance with them. Then KuroBara decided to set up a talk and discussion corner concerning marriage, for Nakai to understand marriage and women better, lol. I've collected all of the Marriage Talk episodes and I'll translate the most interesting parts of them.
Here we go!

Kiriko: I think you two (Takeda & Nakai) basically likes loneliness.
Takeda: We like loneliness...??
Nakai: No, I don't~!!
Tsuchida: You'd still get freedom in marriage, y'know.
Sarina: Yup, yup, yup.
Nakai: Reallyyy??
Kiriko: (to Tsuchida) You sure?
Tsuchida: I mean that's...
Sarina: There's freedom.
Takeyama: We still get freedom!
Kiriko: Not the REAL freedom, right?
Nakai: We won't get REAL freedom, right?
Tsuchida: I think that's because she's (Kiriko) that type. She don't give her husband freedom. So, just don't choose that type.
Nakai: I won't know that until I marry her, whether she's the type who'd give me freedom or not.
Tsuchida: That's why you have to live together... Ahh, you can't ... you're a super idol...
Katsumata: He can't live together with a woman!
Kiriko: But you better do, living together is good.
Tsuchida: Living together is important.
Sarina: But she'll give him freedom, if she loves him. My husband likes being alone too, actually.
Nakai: Basically I like being alone.
Sarina: He kept telling me that, so I'm leaving him alone.
Nakai: But don't you want to talk to him?
Sarina: I was knocking his door so loud before, because he locked it.
Tsuchida: You shouldn't do that.
Sarina: But I don't do that anymore.
Tsuchida: My wife always let me be alone once a day. So she don't even let the kids go to my room.
Nakai: Nice! I want that room!
Tsuchida: The room? You want to live with me in that room in my house?
Nakai: Your wife is awesome!
Takeyama: But we both... My wife wants to be alone too, and there are times I want to be alone too.
Nakai: Then, why don't you just break up?
Takeyama: We want to be together!
Katsumata: So it's better if you just meet each other once in awhile.
Takeyama: We want to live together under the same roof. But when we both want to be alone, we just go to our own separate rooms... while respecting each other. I'll understand if my wife wants to be alone.
Nakai: But Kiriko-san, for you, there wasn't any freedom, right?
Kiriko: I didn't get any. I mean, the REAL freedom. Bcoz he's always there.
Takeyama: What do you mean with the "Real Freedom"?
Kiriko: No, no, I get it now, ever since I become single again, I understand that being single is FREE! We can do anything we want! I can eat anything I want today!
Nakai: Yes, that's it! That's it!
Kiriko: I can hang out with anyone I want!
Tsuchida: Why do you suddenly sound like Ozaki Yutaka?
Katsumata: "Get your own freedom!"
Tsuchida: Freedom...
Kiriko: The real freedom!
Nakai: (to Sarina) Even if you say you give him freedom, you're there!!
Sarina: No, but he's free! (to Tsuchida/Takeyama) Right??
Kiriko: No! It's not...
Katsumata: It's fine even if you don't get freedom.
Komori: Yeah, it's fine.
Nakai: Huh??! What do you mean??
Kiriko: You don't need freedom?
Katsumata: That's what a family is. You get something more precious than freedom. Like, happiness...
Tsuchida: If she wants you to stay the way you are forever, she'd give you freedom.
Katsumata: That's right!
Komori: That's definitely true!
Nakai: Huh? What, what? I don't get that at all.
(ya ampuuun Nakaiiii.... masa blom ngerti jg seehhh...)
Tsuchida: If she marries you because she thinks the current Nakai-kun is wonderful, then she won't tie you up. If she wants you to stay the way you are, she'll let you do anything you want. She'll give you freedom.
Nakai: SERIOUSLY???!!
Komori: That's definitely true!
Takeda: There's no such woman!
Nakai: No one's like that!
(everyone immediately talk and stand up at the same time, getting heated up)
Sarina: That's... Wait a minute!
Takeda: No such, no such.
Tsuchida: No, no. That's not...
Nakai: No such woman exist!
Katsumata: No such woman!
Nakai: There's no such woman!
Takeda: No, no... girls are...
Sarina: No, no!
Nakai: No, really!
Takeda: I know it.
Tsuchida: I can understand what Nakai-kun is saying, but (to Takeda) of course there's no such woman in Roppongi at night!
Takeda: *laughs* No, no such woman...
Tsuchida: You won't find such woman in Roppongi at night!
Takeda: Girls might think that way, but... they'd somehow just finally get it out... like restricting us or something. Like, because she love me, she'd...
Katsumata: Your fishing spot is wrong!
Takeda: No, no. I'm not fishing anything.
Katsumata: You won't find a good fish at Roppongi!
Takeda: There's no such girl!
Nakai: Wrong fishing spot.
Sarina: But even that kind of girl would change, if you build a relationship with her.
Nakai: For example... I call my girlfriend today and ask her out to watch a movie. "Oh okay!", "Then I'll check the schedule"... but then, 1-2 hours later when I have to get ready, suddenly I feel "Eh? I don't feel like going now...."
Everyone: Oh, yes, yes... I understand.
Nakai: I don't want to go anymore, what should I do? I don't feel like going, but I still have to go? Even if I go, it'll be boring.
Tsuchida: You'll get stress.
Kiriko: Just tell her that, then.
Nakai: Ehh?? I can't say thaaat!!
Everyone: Why? You can, you can! You better do!
Nakai: I mean, she has put on makeup and feeling all "You're gonna pick me up right?", and I've told her "The movie starts 6 o'clock" but then around 5, "A baseball match is starting at 5!"...
Everyone: I understand that. Yeah, I get that feeling.
Nakai: But in the morning, I was thinking that to go watch a movie is better than baseball.
Katsumata: You wanted to go, right?
Nakai: But in the evening, I lost my desire to go. You can't say that to her, right?
Tsuchida: There are women who'd get all work up about that, but there are also women who'd understand "It's okay".
Nakai: But women would basically get all work up about it! "What do you mean?" like that...
Kiriko: As a woman, I think your girlfriend wants to see you rather than to watch the movie. So even if you don't want to go anymore, she'd give in to you coz she loves you.
Takeda: There's no such girl.
Nakai: That's impossible!!
Katsumata: "Sudden baseball" is okay, like that huh.
Sarina: There's such girl exist!
Takeda: I don't think soo...
Nakai: (to the audience) You won't accept if you're told something like that right?
Katsumata: If you're that kind of guy, then you have to find a girl who can accept that part of you. Female talents don't know any knowledge or anything. They're idiots. You better find a girl with a good amount of knowledge. You're stupid right?
(Nakai laughs)
Katsumata: For example, when you go to a funeral, you don't know what to say, right?
Nakai: I don't know... I don't know how many times I have to do this (*referring to burning the incense)... I always watch people in front of me...
Takeda: Yeah, I don't know, either.
Nakai: I'm always sweating when I have to do that, even now!
Katsumata: I think it's better if you find a girl who can teach you things like that. Like when you're visiting someone at the hospital, usually talents would say "I'm going to visit you now".... that's stupid!
Nakai: Lacking here... (pointing at his head)
Katsumata: There are things that you have to prioritize in society, and common people know that kind of knowledge.
Nakai: Yes, I can never put myself in someone else's position and think of his/her feelings.
Katsumata: Desho? So, a girl who can put herself in your position and think of your feelings is the best one for you.
Sarina: Someone who cares that much, ne.
Nakai: Wait a minute, this isn't about marriage anymore, I basically failed as a person!
Everyone: That's true! That's why you're not married yet!
Katsumata: As a person, you're 1 out of 100 points!
Nakai: So I'm really childish huh?
Katsumata: I don't think you understand many things.
Tsuchida: To think of it, the topic you talked about, felt like something a junior high or highschool student would say.
Nakai: Which one?
Tsuchida: You asked someone out, but you don't want to go anymore all of the sudden. If you have matured...
Nakai: Even adults would feel that, right?
Tsuchida: You're 40 already!
scrtxt: Next year, ne.
Tsuchida: I mean...
Nakai: Even if you're married, you'd feel that way sometime, right?
Tsuchida: Yes I would! But not that much of emotionally instable like when I was a school student.
Nakai: Not that I'm emotionally instable!! I'm totally stable!
Katsumata: It's about whether or not you can keep your promise, ne.
Nakai: Yes, I keep my promise! I would go anyway! I'd go see the movie, because I've promised her! I don't feel like going anymore, but I'd go, nevertheless.
Tsuchida: If you're an adult, even though you don't feel like it, you'll find some other things you can enjoy there. And then you'd think "I'm glad I've come afterall".
Nakai: What can I find in the middle of the dark like that???
Tsuchida: I just told you, it's not all about the movie!!!
Takeyama: But I think, the woman who'd become your wife... since she loves you, knowing you're feeling boring, she'd say "The movie's boring, let's just go back"....
Nakai: No, no! I'll act! Basically, I'll do my acting part!
Takeyama: She'll find out!
Kiriko: You don't have to do that!
Nakai: I'm really good in acting that!!
scrtxt: As expected from a leading actor!
Takeyama: Your wife would know!
Sarina: She'd know.
Takeyama: A wife would see through any kind of act.
Tsuchida: If you endure things too much, it'll become stress for you, and you'll get divorce in the end. You have to...
Kiriko: Don't endure too much...
Katsumata: There must be only girls who loves you, until now... You have to find someone who supports you.
Tsuchida: I see!
Nakai: Didn't you all just say that husbands are the one who supports? So, who's supporting?
Katsumata: Both!
Nakai: What do we have to support??? What is it actually?
Katsumata: In other words, marriage...
Nakai: They'd say "Support me!".... but what is it there??? When I heard the word "support", I immediately think of carrying a bag or something! (*sasaeru mostly means "support", but the meaning is also close to "carry") Like when we move in to a new house, I'd hold(sasae) onto the boxes. But even if you tell me to support, if there's nothing there, I just don't get it!
scrtxt: Are you serious?
Katsumata: It's easy! Usually women would say "Please make me happy!", right? That kind of women aren't good!
Nakai: But everyone says that...
Katsumata: Women who says "Let's be happy together!" is better! Women who says "Let's join our strength together and be happy!" is good.
(Nakai looks confused)
Kiriko: There must be many question marks coming out in his head.
Everyone: This is difficult, huh.
Katsumata: (to Nakai) You don't get it?
Tsuchida: If you don't get that, then your point is really just 1.
Nakai: But what I've heard is, "Let's suffer together" and women who says "OK" to that, are best ones.
Katsumata: That's the extreme version.
Nakai: Please suffer together with me... "You don't mind suffer together with me?", "Its fine" if she's someone who feel she'd overcome any misfortunes if she's together with you, then she's the one. It's better to marry someone like that.
Katsumata: That's the best! The best!
Nakai: But, who would want to get a misfortune?
Tsuchida: No one wants that! But, just in case....!
Katsumata: That's just hypothetical words!! Hypothetically speaking!!!
Kiriko: Yeah, hypothetical...
Takeyama: What is suffer or misfortune in your mind, anyway?
Nakai: For example, like.... the roof flies away, or something... I don't know. (laughs)
scrtxt: Are you 10 years old!?
Takeyama: Coz of the typhoon?
Katsumata: Ehhh??? *taking off his mic* Thank you for your hard work today!
Tsuchida: I want to go home too!
Sarina: Let's go home!
Nakai: Wait, wait, wait! We haven't gone to the real topics!!
Takeyama: We haven't start anything yet??
So actually, the real plan was they show the question on the board and the guests has to answer that question, but the intro talk got too long, lol.
Q. When you get married, does the husband only get pocket money share?
Nakai: This is really... So, please let me know... Sarina, what system you have?
Sarina: Separate. We use our own money as we like. My husband pays for our living expenses together, though...
Nakai: Like the rent? (Sarina nods) I'll ask in details, then. How about your cellphone?
Sarina: I pay for myself.
Nakai: Your husband won't pay for that?
Sarina: No, he won't. Because, he already pay for our insurance and tax...
Nakai: Oh really??
Sarina: When we're going to buy something big, we'll ask each other how much we got.
Nakai: Something "big" starts where?
Sarina: Like a house, car...
Nakai: Okay, house and car... how about...
Kiriko: How about TV?
Nakai: Yeah, how abt TV?
Sarina: Ahh, TV is big, ne.
Takeda: So expenses decided in family discussion? Or would you only listen to what your husband tell you to?
Sarina: It's family discussion.
Nakai: You properly talked it together?
Takeyama: Each family has different rules, though.
Everyone: Different, yeah.
Tsuchida: Rules with a housewife and a working wife would be totally different.
Nakai: Takeyama's wife is a housewife right?
Takeyama: Yup. Mine is totally the pocket money system.
Kiriko: So you trust everything to your wife, ne.
Takeyama: We have a bank account together, and my agency transfer my pay to that account. My wife manage all the expenses with that money. And then I get "my salary" from there every month.
Nakai: Salary?
Tsuchida: It's not pocket money, actually, ne. It's "salary"!
Takeyama: I didn't have money at all long time ago. So my wife paid almost for everything. But we can totally reverse the situation now, so my wife decided to quit her job.
Tsuchida: Me too. When I didn't get much money, my wife support our living expenses.
Nakai: Kiri-san, how abt you?
Kiriko: I was the "separate" system.
Nakai: But your salary was definitely bigger, right?
Kiriko: Yes. He was an ordinary manager, so... I paid for the rent, utility cost, ....
Everyone: Eeee???
Kiriko: I paid everything! Then my (ex)husband used all of his own salary for himself.
Everyone: Heee??? That's a bit... What a special case.
Kiriko: To think of it now, ne.
Nakai: What should I do? I'll be in trouble if I have to do it the pocket money way...
Tsuchida: You have to negotiate that with your wife.
Katsumata: Then, you can just live together with her and tell her how much you use per month.
Nakai: I don't want to tell her my salary...
Kiriko: That's true. You better don't tell.
Tsuchida: Yeah, better not.
Sarina: Even to your own wife??
Kiriko: I mean, if she know the amount... a person might change.
Takeyama: But she'll know it eventually!
Sarina: Yeah, she'd know.
Takeyama: I mean your bank book is in your house.
Nakai: Nooooo (iyaaaa~ zettai iyaaaa).... I mean that's... (to Sarina) you won't say right? You said you'd tell each other, but...
Sarina: I know the rough amount, at least.
Tsuchida: I mean if you get a divorce, and a lawyer is involved, she'll know the total amount you have. I mean, when you separate, ... it's half of your money...
Nakai: What? If we get a divorce, she'll bring away my savings??
Everyone: Yes, yes. Half of your savings. Of course.
Nakai: SERIOUSLYYYYY????? (Maaaaajiiiiiiii~~????)
(Heeee.... sistem di Jepang tuh? Mantan istri dapet setengah tabungan punya si mantan suami? Perasaan ngga ada peraturan kyk gitu di indonesia? Wah... beneran musti cari suami nihonjin dong? hahaha~)
Nakai: See~??? (Horaaa....)
Takeda: (to Nakai) It's better to stay single, then!
Nakai: It's not marriage fraud, but...
Kiriko: There might be cases like that!
Nakai: ....there might be women who'd endure marrying me for 2 years just to get away with half of my savings later.
Kiriko: Just for your money, ne.
Nakai: I don't want that!!
Katsumata: Marriage has it's own risk, indeed.
Takeda: I don't get married, really because I don't want to pay her if we get a divorce.
Tsuchida: Takeda, you're a different case.
(everyone laughs)
Katsumata: Then, you get married to get a divorce??
Sarina: Can you please not include the plan to cheat on your wife, there?
Takeda: No, no, no. I just don't want to fail. I'm 44 afterall.
Kiriko: Someone like you, Nakai-san, I think you better do it like what the Hollywood actresses do.
Tsuchida: Oh, marriage contract, ne.
Kiriko: When you get married, you better prepare an agreement contract.
Nakai: I don't want that...
Tsuchida: But, it depends on the divorce reason. If Nakai-kun have an affair, then maybe that's the result. But if its a divorce settled peacefully, she won't bring away half of your savings.
Kiriko: There might be a case that the wife cheat on you too.
Takeyama: There are also cases that the wife would say, "I don't need your money".
Tsuchida: Or like settle it with 7:3...
Nakai: But we cannot ask that before we get married, right? Like "If we get a divorce let's settle it peacefully okay?". Can I say that?
Kiriko: Recently, people say that, I heard.
Takeyama: In Nakai-kun's case, I think you better do that. Coz she'll take a lot, if it really happens.
Sarina: You better do that.
Tsuchida: A star should really do that.
Katsumata: Your digit is different than ours.
Nakai: No, no, my digit is the same with you guys!
(everyone got all worked up and stood up, LOL!)
Everyone: There's no way we're the same!!! What are you saying??? It must be different!!! There's no such thing! What are you saying???
Nakai: It's not different! You might think that I have alot of money, but...
Sarina: Not think, you really have it desho!!
Everyone: You really have it!!
Nakai: *laughs* No, I don't!
Kiriko: And it feels like you don't use it much.
Tsuchida: That's right!
Katsumata: Sou, sou!
Everyone: You don't use it! You just keep saving and piling them up, don't you! He don't go out! Yeah, he's always at home.
Tsuchida: That's why, when we talk about divorce and half of savings, you went "Heeee???".
(Nakai laughs)
Sarina: Just how much amount you have.
Katsumata: He can definitely pay living expense just with his savings interest, ne!
Tsuchida: Just with interest! (laughs)
Takeda: Yeah, you just sing a song, and the money comes right in, right?
Nakai: (laughs) No such thing!!
Takeyama: Fine, even if you have only little money, your hobby just to watch baseball, right?
Katsumata: Only shochu (Japanese vodka) and baseball right?
Takeyama: You're just drinking shochu right?
Sarina: How much is the ticket of a baseball match?
Katsumata: How much do you spend for shochu and baseball?
(Nakai laughs)
Takeyama: Your savings definitely piles up! And not at Ginza, but you drink it inside your house right?
Sarina: He drinks it alone in his house, ne. Such an ordinary lifestyle.
Takeyama: You're just piling up your money.
Katsumata: You definitely save alot that way.
Nakai: No, I'm not... I don't come here to listen to this talk... (laughs) You know, I only have 1 bank account.
Komori: You definitely have to make another one.
Kiriko: One for marriage...
Katsumata: The other is like a hidden bank account... Just arrange so there's only 200,000 yen per month coming to that account.
Kiriko: Just make another one in the same bank. It'll be troublesome if you make another one in another bank, so...
Nakai: Like for tax evasion???
Everyone: Not tax evasion!! It's totally different!
Nakai: That's why I don't want to make another one! If I get involved in a trouble... It's like shaving close, right?
Everyone: It's not! Totally different!!!
Nakai: I won't dirty my hands for something like that!!
(hah?? kenapa bikin 2 rekening tabungan aja kayak masalah besar sih, buat Nakai?? sampe cari2 alasan, lol, lol. kalo gw mah, krn atm bca pasti rame, jd lebih enak ke atm bni yg slalu sepi, itu kan alasan bikin 2 rekening, gitu aja kok susah...haha)
Takeyama: But, Nakai-kun I'm really surprised. A person who work this much... only have 1 account? Are you stupid??
Everyone: Yeahhh, I didn't expect that too!
(jadi penasaran, di Jepang nggak ada resiko bank bankrut en collapse yah? bahaya banget tuh, semua tabungan nakai cuma ada di satu bank, kalo bank-nya collapse? atau dia kena penipuan uang? XD)
Nakai: So its for something like a counter-measure for tax?
Everyone: No, no. Not tax counter-measure. There are many reasons to have different bank accounts!
Nakai: Why do we have to separate our savings??
Komori: Like one account for savings, one account for your old age life, or one day for your child.
Nakai: If we separate them, it'll cost more fee, won't it?
Everyone: No, it doesn't.
Komori: Like when you withdraw your money with your card?
Nakai: Yeah, 105 yen for the card.
Tsuchida: It's all the same everywhere, so it has nothing to do with it.
Katsumata: If you make another one in the same bank, it costs you zero.
Tsuchida: Just like Katsumata-san said before, you're a "1" person.
Katsumata: It's true!
Nakai: I'll admit that.
Katsumata: You really don't know anything!
Tsuchida: I didn't know anything either, it was my wife who told me that.
Kiriko: You better find someone like that. Someone who know alot about that.
Tsuchida: Its fine even if she don't know your main account.
Nakai: But I only have one account...
(ya makanya bikin satu lageeeee.... gw pites jg nih, si Nakai, bikin gemes ajeee <3)
Tsuchida: Just leave your main account, and make another one for your family expenses.
Nakai: Then I have to tell my wife abt that account right? "What? There's 0 yen in there"... she'd say that.
Katsumata: That, or you make another one for your wife, and you transfer a certain amount of money to that account, yourself, every month.
Nakai: Every month??
Komori: Just arrange it so your main account will be automatically debited for a certain amount every month for that other account.
Nakai: Oh, we can do that?
Kiriko: Money is very important in marriage. We'll quarrel because of money too. Money is very important! May I ask, Nakai-kun, do you like money? Or you don't mind much abt money?
Nakai: I just don't want to reveal it.
Kiriko: You don't want to reveal it?
Katsumata: Coz you'll be targeted because of money?
Nakai: It feel the same like the real me, it feel the same like my bookshelf is being peeked at.
Kiriko: Your bookshelf?
Tsuchida: What? You have porn books on your bookshelf? There should be no problem even if your bookshelf is being peeked at.
Komori: Maybe he's worried that the woman will pay attention to him, because of that amount.
Nakai: Maybe... But she'll definitely say "It's not about the money, I love you because of your quality as a person,"
Everyone: She'd definitely say that!!
Nakai: Right? Right? I mean, there's definitely that intention hidden somewhere back there.
Tsuchida: She already know SMAP's Nakai-kun, so... There's nothing you can do about that.
Kiriko: But there are innocent girls, too. Not because of money...
Everyone: No, no, no, no....
Kiriko: That kind of girl exist!
Nakai: But, definitely... okay, so it's not money, but in the end she needs a certain degree of economy for living expenses. My character is important but ... it's normal right? You'd think its better to marry someone with enough degree of economy strength.
Tsuchida: Yeah, maybe there are girls who don't need money when you date her, but when it comes to marriage, economy strength will become something vital.
Kiriko: No, I don't think so!
Tsuchida: That's why you got divorced...
Nakai: Maa, maa, maa...
