Jamie, congrats on your marriage! I'm so happy for you and Terry!
Weddings, weddings, everywhere. Lisa Ziperman got married on halloween weekend so I went to Indy for that. It was the fastest wedding I've ever been to. I think it took about 8 minutes and I'm not kidding. Her reception was fun, all appetizer and finger foods - very Lisa. And I got to hang out with Carolyn and Ralph for most of the day, so that was awesome. It was so good to be with them, and they are just adorable together. It was awesome to see Judy too. I miss that woman. And Taryn and I went to Mogger's and had a chance to catch up a bit. It was a weird trip though, because I didn't know any other students. Made me feel a little old. :)
The job is still the same. I'm so sick of doing nothing, or if I'm not doing nothing, of doing stupid office things. Filing, faxing, copying things, making bulletin boards. Ugh. I never knew that doing nothing could be so tiring. I know things will be so great when Einstein's finally opens and I can actually do the job I was hired to do. Why does construction have to take so long?! There was a possibility of me going to Tampa for training, but that was squashed today so I'm a little bummed. It would have been pretty cool to go to Florida even if I was working the whole time. I'm just so ready to train and get back into a job where I'm moving around, meeting new people, creating a team that will be fun and positive, and having fun while working hard. I'm such a nerd.
I'm really excited because I am going to see Gwen tomorrow. She is playing downtown at the Elbow Room. I've never been there, but I'm so excited since I haven't seen her in a long time and it's so fun to watch her play. I'm bringing my man Dan with me too so he can meet her. I've tried to explain Gwen to him, but it's just more effective to meet her in person. Hooray.
I've seen Carrie a lot in the past few days. Sometimes our schedules are so opposite that we'll go a week or two without seeing each other. It's so fun that we're neighbors. It just cracks me up that she lives right upstairs. Yesterday I went to vacuum, and this piece on the bottom of my vacuum fell off (so irritating), so I just went upstairs and borrowed hers. Too funny. And luckily, she has a spare key to my place, and in typical Jess-style I've already locked myself out twice, so it's definitely come in handy that she lives in my building.
Hershey starts puppy training on Thursday. I seriously can't wait. She's starting to get out of control and Dan and I are determined that our dog be obedient and well-behaved. She's so funny lately because she's been making almost a purring noise when she yawns or stretches. She makes me laugh out loud.
I guess that's all for now. I'm going to go back to the fun that is organizing my filing cabinet.
