roseice 1. What is your favorite Christmas carol/song?
O Holy Night.
2. White lights or multicolored?
It depends. If it's icicle lights I prefer white. If it's hanging lights you wrap around a tree then I prefer different colors. But I'm not a fan of mixing colors.
3. Do you have a cut tree, live tree or an artificial tree?
We always use the same fake tree. We've had it for years. We don't even take the lights off of it anymore. We just put it back up in the attic afterward and leave the lights on it. We do take the ornaments off, of course.
4. Eggnog, mulled cider, or hot chocolate?
I've never had eggnog, perhaps because it usually has alcohol in it? Or maybe we just don't like it? I don't know. I like hot apple cider ok, but my favorite is hot chocolate. I could drink hot cocoa every day.
5. Do you decorate your house with lights?
Sometimes. We used to all the time, but lately we've been slacking. My dad or mom will usually do this.
6. Do you write Christmas cards?
My parents send Christmas cards to all the relatives. I do not.
7. Do you like receiving Christmas letters/photos?
I don't really care, to be honest. They don't have much meaning to me. They're just a courtesy thing.
8. What is your favorite Christmas story/movie?
I don't really watch Christmas movies...
9. Have you ever made a gingerbread house?
I made one in calivnettes/gems when I was younger, but I didn't really like to do it, so I haven't amde one since.
10. Poinsettias or holly?
Poinsettias, even though my cat is allergic to them.
11. Do you display a nativity scene?
We have a glass one that we put up every year. It's all stuck together, so there's no need to set it up, really. It also plays music and the characters twirl around.
12. Do you bake Christmas cookies?
No, we make pie instead.
13. Ham or turkey?
I hate turkey, so definitely ham. Turkey is far too dry for me. I don't even eat it at Thanksgiving
14. In what languages can you wish someone a Merry Christmas (without cheating)?
Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, メリークリスマス. I know how to say it in Korean too, but it's basically the same as Japanese...
15. Do you know all the words to Jingle Bells?
I know most of the words, I think.
16. Do you put presents under the tree?
We put them around the tree. The tree is not wide enough for all our presents, after all.
17. How do you eat a candy cane?
I don't. But if I did, I'd bite off the hook first and work downward.
18. What is your biggest holiday pet peeve?
How America plays Christmas music practically the day after Halloween and starts putting Christmas decor out then too. It's like, guys, what about Thanksgiving? But Turkey Day is overshadowed by Christmas.
19. What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
The candle light service at my church. It's cool singing Christmas music in the dark with your candle as your only light.
20. What was (were) the best present(s) you ever got for Christmas?
I'll talk about something material here, since I don't want to sound like a broken record. Probably the year I got my Gamecube. I was so excited to finally be able to play Tales of Symphonia, and since the GCN and nearly all the games were dirt cheap, I felt like I had gotten a lot for Christmas.
I have been sick these past two days, so I've been sleeping in nearly the entire time. So please forgive me for not being around. X_X
