Played more VS today and decided that even though I thought I'd like playing as Kyle better in the beginning, Leon is better for me. Interestingly enough, Leon seems to be a better jumper than Kyle. Maybe it's the cape. Anyway, I got to meet up with the Vesperia cast and found out I prefer their English voice actors to their Japanese ones. That's pretty rare for me, though I guess it just tells me how spot on they were with the Vesperia cast, at least for me. Muchos gracias, Microsoft.
Today I skipped going out to eat and went shopping instead at Lotte Mart. I wound up getting a new PSP case for my PSP. This one is a PSP shell. I love my current PSP case, but it has some problems, such as the rubber always falling onto the screen while I was playing it. Anyway, You put your PSP inside it and you can play it with the case on, and even change games. The one I got is a clear blue, as I thought it'd match my PSP better. The bummer thing is that it doesn't fit in my original case. What a bummer. So now maybe I'll get a soft case when I get home or something and give my current case to someone else or use it as a back up.
We got a new student in my EC2 class and ever since he came that class has been hellish. Before that I had the class really well behaved, but now they just keep acting up. They'll doodle, work on their chunk books (which is homework) and chat, despite my constant warnings. And what makes matters worse is that half of them don't even know where we are in the book because of that. It's soooo frustrating. I will probably start the candy game with them pretty soon too if they keep acting up. The candy game is basically a team game where the kids earn points for participation and for paying attention. Every time a member from their group participates or answers a question correctly he gets a point for his team. If one member is talking or doesn't know where we are when I call on him, his team loses a point. It was a suggestion by one of my co-workers and so far it's working beautifully. The Tera kids are just eating it up, and the EC4 kids like it as well.
So I started to watch Hetalia this morning. I couldn't believe the file sizes until I watched an episode and realized the episodes were only five minutes long. Wow. Perfect for something like youtube, huh. Hetalia was originally on the web, though I downloaded the DVD quality vids. So far I like it, though it's flipping ridiculous. The ending song always makes me roll my eyes, yet it seems to fit Italia perfectly. And Doitsu... *snickers*
I love the stereotype of America. We eat hamburgers. All the time. At least according to Hetalia. And poor, poor France. The stereotypes are hilarious. Other than the hamburger thing, I think America's not so off. The whole "You will assist me, the hero!" is spot on, at least. America's got a pretty interesting view of its role in the world as far as that goes. Although, I will say that I really really don't think that all Americans are blonde haired and blue eyed. I at least can vouch for that. But really, what does an American even look like? What are they supposed to look like? The US is a big mixing pot with all sorts of different races and ethnic backgrounds, so it's pretty hard to say that we all have some sort of distinguishing physical feature that you can see and instantly place someone as an American.
Too much to think about. I'm gonna go watch more crack Hetalia.
