If you get where the subject line is from, you are, like, so awesome. XD
Wow. Yet again it's been a while since I've updated. Despite having my own laptop now, I've been online much less than normal. Of course, I've been much busier than before... I spent Friday night and Saturday night with Omi, Sunday with Michelle and Omi, and today helping at the house.
Friday night Omi came over. We were supposed to start a new game or play KoR, but we wound up going shopping for a new Xbox 360 controller. My controller had been on its last leg the last time Michelle came over, and it seemed like it was finally dead. We went to Gamestop in search of used Xbox controllers, but wound up getting a new 3rd party corded controller. I actually like it a lot. Not only do I not have to rely on batteries to play the 360, I also don't have to set up the controller since it reads it as soon as the system turns on. It was only 20 USD, which is a lot better than the 1st party's 50 USD.
Of course, when we got home we realized that the original 360 controller hadn't given in yet. The controller worked for another day and the two of us were able to play some of Vesperia together, which was fun. Tales games are always so much more fun when you have another person. ^_^
Sunday was Michelle's graduation party, so after church Omi and I headed over to her lake house to celebrate. We mostly just talked, though we DID take a boat ride on the pontoon boat and got completely soaked. That's partly why I didn't want to sit in the front. ^^;;
Today I was obligated to go to my grandpa's house and ready the walls for painting. Boring, boring work. And my MP3 player died half-way through. Once I got home I booted up the PS2 and played some Persona 3, but I was too tired to get very far. I kept falling asleep during the conversation parts and missing all the voice acting. Whoops? I feel kind of bad because even though I didn't technically miss anything, I didn't really understand what was going on due to the fact that I'd read a line, fall asleep, wake up, read another line, and repeat. Not a good way to play a videogame. Finally I gave up and let myself fall asleep.
Later this evening Omi came over to deliver something (thanks, Omi!) and we made a night of it. We bought Subway and marathoned the first DVD of Yami no Matsuei, a show we've been meaning to re-watch for ages. Such good memories. I was instantly warped back to my high school years, where we would discuss the characters and their pasts for hours with each other over the phone. I really miss those days.
Playing PE3 and watching Yami had made me want to go back to high school. Almost. I definitely did not make the most of my high school life. Instead, I wasted a lot of time angsting and feeling sorry for myself. Not something I'd recommend. For those of you in my f-list who are still in school, particularly high school, make the most of it! Seriously!
And now I'm playing Star Ocean 2 for the PSP. I finally got Ashton and am headed for the mountains to try to get the two-headed dragon off of Ashton's back (long story behind that). My only real regret with the SO games on the PSP is the name changes and voice acting. The main characters' voices are normally okay, but the secondary party members are just meh. But my Japanese is not competent enough to deal with the Japanese versions, and I've got 101 Japanese Tales games wanting to be played, so it's nice to take a break and play a game in English every once in a while. I don't always like the English language, but it's nice to not have to think so much. X_X
Kids are coming over tomorrow, so my busyness continues! Will it ever be over?
