Episode 2: Our Paths --- 2010.01.18
8/10
Wow, it felt heavy. This episode was really worth watching!
It was just like season 1, at first there was the feeling of, "Aren't there too many patients?"
But this arrangements really makes it easier to understand the situations of each doctor, it was great.
Shiraishi, because of what happened with Kuroda-sensei, kept working without rest.
In the past there were times when she seemed spoiled, but now she has matured, "Is doctor-like" (A/N: these are in Aizawa's words)
Even though she was yelled at by Hiyama and Haruka, this change was not a bad thing.
Regarding whether to undergo surgery or radiation therapy, Shiraishi explained to the patients;
Hiyama said, "You just want to do surgeries, right?" But I don't think what Shiraishi id was wrong.
Whether to preserve one's life or one's memories, of course the patient has the freedom to choose.
But as a doctor, the hope is of course to save lives, so she recommended surgery, that can't be helped.
Of course, seeing a patient with memory loss due to surgery, it's still a very sad thing......
But, even though he lost his memory, the love for his wife was not erased.
When I saw this, I cried......
As long as there is still life, the two of them can create new memories together....
It ended on a hopeful note, that was great.
Hiyama was responsible for a woman who wanted to become more beautiful, and underwent plastic surgery.
The young Hiyama said, your original face looked fine too.
The patient smiled and said, "It's because you're so young that you can say this".
Later, this smiling patient died from an infection....
Hiyama thought of her own surgery and it's after effects, and wanted to run away from it
Hope she won't leave it until too late... (sweatdrop)
Fujikawa noticed the changes in a patient's condition, and was praised by Tachibana.
This guy is really not used to being praised, and he didn't know what to do! (lol)
This character is quite realistic, I couldn't really laugh.
Fujikawa became a tiny bit more confident, and rode doctor heli, but met a patient with internal injuries to the lungs, and he was really scared.
Tachibana asked Aizawa to tell him what to do, so Aizawa instructed him over the phone.
Unfortunately, he cut a major artery, and the patient ended up dying.
Fujikawa couldn't help thinking, if it was Aizawa there, the patient could have been saved.
At first, it was worrying that he seemed too confident, bu he was actually very aware of the limits to his abilities.'
Aizawa said, "Remember all the patients you couldn't save..."
How can I say this, today's Aizawa-sensei is even more handsome than usual!!
The way he answered wasn't so distant (lol)
But, up till now, it seemed that Aizawa hasn't really experienced any huge setbacks, it concerns me.
Maybe one day, some event that is enough to shake this man will happen? (sweatdrop)
Aizawa's grandmother said in her sleep, "You killed her".
Who killed his mother, when his grandmother recovers, the truth will come out, right?
The "Yamada Ichirou" who kept coming to visit should be the key to this.
There's still a lot of room for development in this plot.... (sweatdrop)
What I also have to say is that the Shiraishi and Hiyama who work hard together, they don't really get along. (sweatdrop)
Shouldn't it be easier for two girls to understand each other? (lol)
It seems that it's overshadowed by their competitiveness..
